On tap at the brewpub on 6/22/07: Pours a cloudy golden with a wispy-lacing white head. Aroma of sweet malted wheaty clove, lemon citrus and authentic bready yeast. Body starts lightly sweet with some citrus balance and banana flavor thinning some toward a doughy yeasty finish with some clove spice. A pretty good hefeweizen.

On draught at the brewpub in Madison, Wisconsin. Pours a hazy golden brew with a fast dissolving white head that leaves behind a white ring an no lacing. Aroma of wheat/corn grits malt, yeast, bubblegum and some banana esters. Taste is light carbonation, medium bodied with a semi-sweet flavors of banana and light yeasty bread mix. Finish is smooth, creamy with a banana flavor in the finish.

On tap at the Ale Asylum Brew Pub. Poured a medium and cloudy golden color with a small sized white head. Aromas of bananas and spices. Tastes of wheat with some cloves and bananas.

Cloudy pale straw color with a moderate white head. Dry grass and hay mix with wheat, light bananas and touch of old bubblegum. Smooth and near silky feel. Some light sweet wheat and dough flavors. A mild backdrop of over-ripe bananas mixed with a hint of sweet spices. For some reason this one does not thrill me. I keep thinking this should be a hefe, but my senses tell me this has more american wheat tendencies.

POurs hazy yellow and shows the typical fruit on the nose. The palate drives the fruit into a deeper sense and then gives a nice easy drinking smooth finish.

Draught sample at the brewery, mid-October 2006. A hazy light yellow-gold in color with a lasting moderate white head and a bit of lace.....pretty typical banana-clove aroma, not overly sweet, but some nice underlying earthy pungency lends greater interest.....awfully easy-dringing and creamy-smooth though a little weak in character....low carbonation but lively mouthfeel, slightly on the sweet side, creamy. A nice reasonably authentic take.

On tap at the Ale Asylum. Poured a hazy, light-medium golden with a light cap of white head. Banana mash and spicy cloves strike first in the aroma.. quite sweet with increasing intensity as it warmed up. Flavor was too sweet... banana and a bit of bubblegum with some clove spiciness and a sweet grainy finish. Damn near cloying as it approached the finish. Not too shabby.
