(Bottle) Received in a trade from Ughsmash. Pours a huge, wonderful white foamy head with a deep orange body. Large hoppy pine nose. Flavours of seville oranges, pine. Very very attractive nose and tongue to this beer. Above average.

Hazed golden with some white head. Big hoppy, Juicey Fruit style nose. Mild hop flavor of orange and tangerine. Medium to light body with ample carbonation. Very easy to drink in mass quantity. Nice.

Bottle. Pine, and grapefruit hops on the nose with some nice roasted sweet malt. Pours a rich golden copper with nice lacing down the glass. Flavor is mostly bright grassy and floral hops with a hint of dry yeast and some moderately sweet malt. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A sessionable APA.

12oz. pours golden with white head. nose fruity, cascade hops. flavor biscuit, fruity hop note, peanut butter?, flavor lacks bitterness, and a touch too sweet. pretty decent.

Sampled at Bob’s McFarland Liquors in McFarland, Wisconsin. Pours a clear caramel amber brew with a decent off-white head that slowly dissolves toa creamy ring. Aroma of mostly grapefruit/pine hops, roasted caramel malt with a touch of toffee. Taste is medium bodied, lightly carbonated with flavors of sweet grapefruit, lemon zest and a touch of soda crackers. Finish is slightly dry, tart grapefruity bitter with a distinct pine aftertate. A decent West Coast IPA style brew.

7/05/2007: Ale Asylum Hopalicious is gold in color, hazy, and has a lasting, puffy, off-white head. A wonderful bouquet of orangy Cascade hops fills the nose. There is also some underlying toasty caramel/toffee malt in the aroma. The flavor is beautifully balanced between the soft orange and citrus hops and the slightly chewy caramel and toasty maltiness. It gets even better as it warms. The bitterness is quite mild and very appropriate for the style. The medium body has a moderate level of carbonation. It is very smooth and like feels like soft velvet on the palate. Ale Asylum definitely fit all the right pieces together to form a haromnious brew. Hopalicious is a very satisfying American Pale Ale that would be one of my favorites if it were available in my area...

It pours deep gold and notes of citrus domintae the aroma. These flavors grow into the flavors and you get a little more spice when getting the extreme bitterness.

Pours a goldy color with a minor white head. Aroma is citrus and pine. Tastes as it smells but finishes off with a slight of almond.
