Commercial Description:
Our first bottled seasonal beer, this Belgian ale has a spicy aroma and deep caramel flavors to balance the slightly sweet finish. Mercy will be available in 4 packs this November around Thanksgiving. We’re making just 600 cases, with a few kegs available to Madison area bars, including the Ale Asylum taproom. At 9.5% abv., Mercy is perfect for warming the body and the soul.

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has strong notes of malt, medium notes of caramel, and light notes of spices. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of malt and medium notes of caramel, leaing to a dry alcohol finish. The alcohol burns lightly on the palate. Thanks CaptainCougar for coming to Denmark and sharing this.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of CaptainCougar. Clear amber golden with a rough, off-white head. Intense aroma of caramel, overripe fruit and alcohol. Full-bodied, overripe fruit and caramel with a vague yeasty edge - a fishy touch. The alcohol in the finish is a bit overdone. 300809

Pours a transparent bright copper amber with a thin, wispy-lacing off-white head. Aroma of sweet dark caramel light fruits and a touch of biscuity malts. Body starts with good fullness and honeydew fruity character along with some mild bitterness before a semi-dry warming finish. Could use a more dominant Belgian yeasty flavor, but still a good attempt at the style.

Pours mahogany with a tan head. Smells of raisins, caramel, some sweet molasses. Tastes sweet and cloying with some fruity elements.
