Tasted 1/3/09. 12oz bottle. Slightly hazy with an orange golden hue. Bubbled ring of off-white head. Sweet nose with hints of raisins, cinnamon, molassia and a citrus banana yeast character. Rather full bodied with a sweet malt character. Both the malts and the yeast offer sweet nuances. Flavors of dark berries and citrus, Belgian style yeast. Slight bitternessin the middle. Nice citrus zest. Sticky finish that lingers with a pleasant mix of cola and a touch burnt wood and caramel. Solid style and interpretation. Lotta respect for these guys. Another Ace.

Ive been waiting a while to try this brew. Pours a semi translucent amber colour with a huge off white head. Aroma is beautiful, enticing with ripe cherries, raspberries and sweet rich caramel malts on the nose. Taste is flavourful with ripe fruit notes and a creamy mouthfeel.

Opaque orange with a thin off-white quickly fading head. Aroma of Belgian Yeast, dark fruits, sweet and toasted malts. Taste of sugar, toasted malt, fruit, mild citrus and spices. Not too much alcohol on the palate but noticeable warming effects afterwards. I haven’t had a whole lot of this style, but this was pretty good as far as beers go.

Bottle bought in WI. Sweet candy cinammon spice aroma. Dark amber body with off-white head. Flavor of sticky sugary candy, yeasty bread notes and moderate spice to the flavor also. Thick almost like cough syrup. Although the beer was spicy, sweet and sugary it was acceptable on the palate unlike some other sweet beers that just destroy the palate.

From the bottle, pours a clear crimson red with a thin bubbly white head. Some fruits, apples, caramel make up the aroma. Taste is what is expected form the aroma, flavors of caramel malt, a slightly spiced and bitter finish, with a smooth aftertaste. This is a pretty good beer.

thanks to John, you rock sir! ... pours a light tawny red -copper ... nice firm coco cola head ... light fruit, sugar, raison bread, light rum smells and flavours ... abv is A-OK ... great lacing ... do people even get excited about the old firm derby? ... wow, i feel this warming my belly on this cold night ... a very enjoyable way WAY to easy to drink brew! This brewery has great promise with their bottled beers if this is what they put out... who you callin a psycho!?!?

Bottle pours copper red with a fizzy, quckly dissapating head. Smells of yeast, a little spice and dough. Lots of sweet malt in the taste, balanced by yeast and a warm alcohol finish. The malt just sits on the back of the tongue on this one. Mouthfeel is a lot richer and creamier than I expected. A very pleasant brew.

Pour is a dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is of molasses and candi sugar. Flavor is very sweet with some dark fruit and again more sugar. Very thick mouthfeel and almost too syurpy but there is nothing really offensive about this. A bit thin for a quad but there are enough Belgian things going on with this one to put it over the top.
