Commercial Description:
This Double IPA finishes at 8.25% ABV, and has a bitter bite at over 100 IBUs. As far as the dominant hop goes, three pounds of Centennial hops per barrel give our double IPA a slightly punishing yet entirely pleasing bitterness that dances on the tongue.

Bottled. Poured crystal-clear reddish-orange with a moderate, well-retained cap of beige head. The aroma picked up juicy grapefruit, pine, and pineapple over a bed of sweet caramel.. some redder fruits and perfumey notes as well.. very sweet on the back of the nose with some alcohol warmth. The flavor found sweet caramel and redder fruits at the core with a lot of resiny bitterness around (grapefruit and pine primarily, backed by perfume).. warm on the back, but there were enough residual sugars to mask the full hit of alcohol. Medium-plus bodied and a tad grainy on the palate.. too aggressive in the form of bitters and booze at times.. for the most part a solid drinker.

12 oz. bottle via trade with Ughsmash - Pours a clear mahogany color with a large two finger thick light tan head that took its sweet time to settle. Thick lacing. Aroma is big time floral hops. Flavor is resin and floral hops with a good bit of sweet malt. Smooth finish. Medium to full body. This beer was a great surprise. Thanks Jason.

Bottle: Pours a transparent copper amber with a well-lacing froth of off-white head. Aroma of fresh resiny piny and grapefruit citrus hops over a sweet caramel malty backdrop. Body starts with good fullness and lots of juicy flavor hops and resiny bitterness well balance with sweet caramel and toffee before a full, bittersweet finish. A well-made and enjoyable double IPA.

Pours a nice amberish/copper color with a medium off white head. Wonderful huge citrus/grapefruit aromas dominate the nose. Flavor is of great citrusy hops that fade into a nice light malt backing, then the nice final bitter finish. The body seems very mild for a DIPA,but makes this a very easy drinking brew. The only problem is the price is pretty steep to make this a regular in my fridge. Thanks BBL!!!!

Its Jacksin, not jackson Bright grapefruit arom, one of superior quality, hops overshadowing any malt quality, sweet and tangy amlt comes through in flaovr with all kinds of citrusy ornaments, reminding you of the hops you thought would dominate,a very pleasant bitter finish(not really punishing as the label predicts)All the wonderful qualities of a great DIPA. A slightly gentler body makes this an extremely drinkable big hop brew, you can’t say that about most, but the price diminishes the chance that you can in fact have more then 1 or 2

Draft at brewery. 8,3,8,4,16 - 3.9. Bronze to copper in color. Moderate off-white head. Big juicy grapefruit nose. Orange blossoms, and lightly toasted malt and caramel scents in the background. Flavors match closely with the aromas. A bit of grass and touch of acidity. A bit of resin and additional acidity in the finish and linger. Full feel. A touch fruity at times. Bottle Copper to umber in color with a taller, stable vanilla tinted head. Pine, brown sugar, caramel, grass grafefrui peel in the scent. Earthy malt in the front. Pine and grapefruit pith in the middle. Caramel in the finish. I seem to be catching hints of vodka, of the grainy ilk.

Growler from the brewpub - Man, DIPAs usually look beautiful in the glass, and this one is no exception. It’s a deep amber pour with a rosy hue and a big off-white head. Nose is big citrusy hops with some nice malt balance. Taste is fruity and malty, with some grassiness to go along with the citrus hops. Feels good in the mouth--resiny and citrusy. Not my favorite DIPA, but I’d have this at AA if they didn’t have Mercy on tap.
