| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 22, 2009 Draft at the brewpub. Orange-brown color. Nice foamy head. Looks filtered, but hard to verify. Well balanced, with the smooth maltiness per the style, but with a respectable hoppiness as well. A touch more earthy freshness than a typical Scottish Ale. madvike (325), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 28, 2009 On tap at the Malt House - Amber pour with a foamy white head. Smells hoppy and mild, with some decent caramelly notes. Taste is malty and subtly hoppy -- it’s smooth and sessionable. I found myself taking huge gulps of this since it’s so easy drinking. It’s nice and creamy, but the carbonation was dialed up a bit too much for my liking. There’s nothing too crazy going on with this beer, but it gets some higher marks for being tasty and easy-to-drink. noncaloric (609), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 31, 2009 Murky amber with an abundant beige head, good sticky lace. Aroma has a bit of smoke and toffee, quickly fades. Flavor combines apple cider fruitiness with some chocolate and toffee malts, comes across as poorly harmonized and missing something to me. Medium body, a little bit tannic on the palate. notalush (2657), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 10, 2009 A rather limp and lifeless scotch ale - thin for the style, with a lot of innocuous fruitiness and a clean cane sugar sweetness on the back end - there’s a bit of nutty flavor throughout as it warms, and a tiny bit of hops in the finish, but otherwise this is really boring. kp (8399), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 16, 2008 On Tap at the Great Lakes Brewfest. Hazy copper with a thin off-whtie head. Aroma of toffee, sweet malt, bread and light roasted malt. Body is a bit thin with sweet malt, toffee, licorice, and grains in the flavor. Finishes semi-sweet but misses the mark for a Scotch Ale due to the thinness.
