A good beer. Lightly sweet. Bright orange with a medium palate. The sweetness is good but this lacks complexity. Some hops in there. A little yeast in the flavor.

Another growler from Skyview. Cloudy yellow color with no head. Big banana, wheat and yeast aroma. Very sweet taste, focusing on malt, yeast and wheat.

On draught at the brewpub in Madison, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-clear golden pale brew with an average sized white head that slowly dissolves to a film and white ring. Nice spotty lacing for a Tripel. Aroma of light sweet banana esters, candi sugar, caramel malt, a touch of bubblegum and some citrusy hops. Taste is medium to full bodied, very light carbonation with some tropical fruit character. Finish has a very high alcohol warmth, sweet flavor with no bitter aftertaste. The 10% ABV really packs a punch in this Tripel.

Much thanks to hopdog for bringing this growler back from WI per my request... Appears a transparent, light gold with a small white cap that slowly fades out into a mild cap, and hearty collar. Spotty lacing is left around the glass. Smell is of yeast, apricot, tangerine, overipened bananas, pears, honey, and melon. Taste is of the mentioned aromas with a citrusy, tropical fruit salad sweetness that is pretty muched balanced during the enjoyment. Mouthfeel is semi-sweet, honey lingering, medium bodied, warming but the abv is hidden for the most part. I wouldn’t have guessed it was almost 10% abv.

Hazed golden yellow with some white head. Very citrusy, IPA like aroma. Some yeasty phenols to bring it back to Belguim. Good blend of citrus and spice in the flavor. Do you detect some GoP? Maybe a bit too much. Medium body with light carbonation. An okay beer. I’d probably have it again.

Thanks to hopdog for bring this one back from his annual trip to Wisconsin. Pours a lightly hazy golden with a medium off white bubbly/creamy lightly lacing head. Aroma of bready malt, lemon, various Tripel spices, pizza crust, floral, some banana, light alcohol Solid Amerian Tripel. Flavor of yeast, bready, earthy, lemon, some light bitterness, various Belgian spices.

On tap at the Ale Asylum Brew Pub. Poured a medium and lightly hazy yellow color with a small sized white head. Aromas of fruitiness (bananas and pears), spices, and some yeast. Tastes of fruitiness and spices. Light to medium sweet (not the overpowering, cloying sweetness, that I’ve found the majority of US Tripels are). Alcohol well hidden.
