Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular. Also available bottle conditioned.
Traditional malty ale made with a blend of pale, crystal and black barley. Subtly flavoured with English hops to make this a dangerously drinkable beer.

500ml bottle (bottle conditioned), from Tuckers Maltings beer shop. 5.5% in bottle. Seems like there may have been some bad bottles of this about, which is a shame because I found it pretty impressive. No diacetyl or acidity in my bottle. Deep tawny colour with ruby highlights. Caramel, fruity malt and tangy hop in the aroma. The hops give a slightly flowery character. More of the same on the palate. Very fruity, with lots of berry and ripe plums. Smooth, but firm, mouthfeel and quite meaty body. Rather nice.

Gravity at Plymouth Beer Festival. Amber and slightly cloudy with a fast dissipating short foamy head. Scent is of very sweet caramel, but in the mouth there is roast coffee with a smokey aftertaste. Odd silky palate.

Butterscotch, toffee aroma. Clear browned copper with dense, off white head that recedes to partial cover with some lacing. Distinctly sour butterscotch flavour is unappealing. Dry medium body with moderate carbonation.

An amber beer with an off-white head. Te aroma is sweet yeasty, while the flavor is sweet with notes of celery, and a dry end. Somewhat off.

RBESG05: Cloudy amber colour. Mild fruity nose. Sweet notes in the start, but acetic in the finish. Unfortunately I think this was infected.

Bottle. Amber colour with a off-white head. Sweet caramel malty aroma and a light sour fruity taste. Medium body and a dry finish.

Bottled at RBESG. Hazy amber. Aroma of buttercotch and vinegar. Lactic acid dominates and is accompanied by diacteyl. Clearly problematic, but nonetheless not unpleasant.
