| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 14, 2009 color is orange and slightly translucent but still cloudy enough to draw intregue. aroma is of biscuit malt, spice, a touch esthery alcohol. mouthfeel is the winner here, which is where often inferior beers of the style fall short. spicy and effervescent, reminscent almost of a good marzen, the flavor lingers and coats just enough to keep this from the dilution often associated with some english pales and ESBs. a great solid and substantial beer. bierkoning (6082), La Tropica, Netherlands

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 4, 2008 Clear orange-red pour with a thin white head. Lots of carbonation and nice lacing on the glass. Tropical fruity aroma - mango, pineapple. I had this on draft a the brewery. Not quite as good as the sample I had there. Similar flavor...Tropical fruits with roasty malt backbone. Dry and fruity. Smooth and easy to drink. Some hops to finish. Good session beer.
