Commercial Description:
Bright copper color, sparkling clarity, and good foam retention when properly served. Appealing Brussels lace. Deep toasty/caramelly malt balanced by spicy/fruity hop flavors accented by fruit esters resulting from fermentation with a championship yeast strain. The aroma is subtle and reflects the flavor with malt, hop and fruit (ester)/fermentation characteristics. Smooth, medium-bodied. Easy drinking with no harsh or astringent sensations.

22 oz bottle poured into an English pint glass has a dark amber color with red highlight. head initially is a thick one finger light tan and falls to a layer with good retention. aroma has caramel malt, light hops, spice, and mild fruit. mouth feel is medium light with a nice creamy texture. flavors are bolder in the taste bringing a well malted character and light bitters along with mild hops. there is some sweetness that i like and light spice along with nicely complementing hops that are all well balanced. very enjoyable to drink.

Bomber. Pours a deep copper color with a one finger creamy off white head. Nose is really mild with just a faint hint of sweet malts. Palate is caramel, malt and a touch of hops. A bit too sweet for my tastes. Medium mouth feel and decent lacing. Not one of Alesmith’s better beers.

Bright copper amber color colour with a foamy tan head and lacing. Nice aroma with hints of pine, malt and spice. Very nice English style ale.

Draught at brewery. Mainly clear, dark amber-brown with lovely off-white head. Lace. Estery aromas. Delicate flowery flavors that vanish too quickly without much bitterness at the end. It’s balanced but the British hops are lost on me, and the finish is too quick.

Dark amber color pour with a foamy tan head and good lacing. Nutty malt aroma with hints of fruit and spice. Caramel malt in the flavor, with yeast and spice. Medium body. Fizzy on the palate. Solid.

Draught Mango-coloured head (big), over reddish-brown with a purple shine. Nutty aroma’s, even +/- buttery, maybe some banana ester. Sweet, again nutty & buttery. Very fine backthroat bitterness. Well bodied, very clean and smooth; creamy texture. Quite discreet for a W.C. beer, even in imitation of a UK style; drinkability is very good, and it appears quite nourishing.
