Not too strong of a nose. Smells mostly of semi-toasty malts with a nice hoppy backbone. Not too bitter as the name would suggest. Lots of malt and some hops. A little light caramel flavor to the finish. Not too thin not too thick. Nice and crisp with great carbonation. Not my favorite style of beer, but this brew is very tasty. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 22, 2007 Bottle: Dark copper pour with a thick, creamy beige head. Nice thick lacing. Aroma is mild with maltiness, fruits, and citrus. Flavor is very well balanced, malty, florals, citrus, caramel, and a medley of fruitiness. I think this is a great example of the style and very well done. Snojerk321 (2002), San Diego, California, USA
