Pours a hazy dark amber with a gargantuan foamy and pillowy off white head. Aroma is very pleasent with pineapple, pine needles, and some light malt. Flavor is a perfect balance of malt and hops. This is easily the best ESB I have ever had and just a really nice beer to drink. Alesmith does it again. smashteroid (252), USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 22, 2007 Bottle. Aroma of caramel malt, pine, and mango. Flavor is of a slightly earthy malt and caramel malt with a nice lingering bitterness. Above average for the style. SpudClampDawg (1027), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 12, 2007 Pours a cloudy amber with a small head that leaves little lacing. The nose offers a real cereal note - kind of bready but with notes of hay or straw. Lots of rindy hops lay over the malty base - perfume, pine and grapefruit are all resiny. The body offers some interesting peach, pineapple and raspberry esthers. The body is ultimately overpowered by perfume and rose petal hops, making the complexity beneath hard to enjoy. brettpace (179), Northridge, California, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 29, 2007 Small, diminishing head atop a dark amber, murky body. The nose is mostly malty with notes of grain and cookie. Some perfume hops are part of the aroma as well. The flavor is moderately sweet and slightly bitter. Medium body and watery texture. Above-average carbonation. Thought this was fairly average and that the flavors were somewhat muddled. Nice enough to drink as a session beer. BeerHawk (1203), Huntsville, Alabama, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 26, 2007 Had this one both from Cask at O’briens & draft from a 5 gallon party keg @ my brothers (Vac) & Abby’s (zug4abby) house warming party. Dark amber in the glass with an off-white head that leaves big chunky lacing. Nice hoppy and fruit aroma. Malty caramels in the flavor with a light roast and hop background. Medium body that is smooth and easy going. Very nice session beer. hopson (596), Williamsville, New York, USA
