Commercial Description:
Bright copper color, sparkling clarity, and good foam retention when properly served. Appealing Brussels lace. Deep toasty/caramelly malt balanced by spicy/fruity hop flavors accented by fruit esters resulting from fermentation with a championship yeast strain. The aroma is subtle and reflects the flavor with malt, hop and fruit (ester)/fermentation characteristics. Smooth, medium-bodied. Easy drinking with no harsh or astringent sensations.

22 ounce bottle from Smokepot23. Pours bright copper with a lasting tan head. The nose is plenty of toasty and bready malt, and berry esters. Flavorful bready malts with a bit of herbal hops. Medium body with a dry finish. Tasty beer.

Bottle... Poured deep amber with a thick off-white head. Spiced, fruity and candy-sweet aroma. Lots of carbonation with fruity ester flavors and smooth malt flavors with a mild hop presence. A great ale.

Hoppy and nice pale qualities. Good flavors but light in body, a bit thin. Flavor overall is nice with caramel and buttered toast.

Bottle purchased from Alesmith on 03/14/2009. Very clear dark amber body with a medium creamy off-white head. Sweet caramel and dark malt aroma with hints of raisins. Sweet bready malty flavor with some raisin hints and some fruity notes and light floral bitterness. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

Bomber purchased from Belmont Station in Portland. Deep amber pour with a big pillowy white head that lasts. Nice smell of caramel with some malt and a nice bitter finishing taste that also features some caramel and malt. Another winner from Alesmith.

Thanks again to BMan1113VR for hitting me up with this one. Crushed with Jakebra. Excellent bitter. Citrus and sweet malt with nicely balancing hop profile. Incredibly smooth brew.
