doubleo (762), San Diego, California, USA Dec 31, 2007 Pours a light cloudy brown color with a somewhat sudsy off-white head. Not too strong of a nose. Smells mostly of semi-toasty malts with a nice hoppy backbone. Not too bitter as the name would suggest. Lots of malt and some hops. A little light caramel flavor to the finish. Not too thin not too thick. Nice and crisp with great carbonation. Not my favorite style of beer, but this brew is very tasty.
yespr (6400), Copenhagen O, Denmark Sep 7, 2008 22 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a collapsing light tan head. Mild lemonish to citrusy aroma with a mild sweet touch. Light spiced and towards light liqourice note. Mild fruity hoppy and a mild sweetness coming through. Bitter and slight acidic finish. Nice and refreshing. KimJohansen (3351), Copenhagen V, Denmark Sep 7, 2008 Clear deep amber with reddish glimts and large beige fluffy head. Sweet fruity aroma with spicy and mild caramel notes. Sweet flavour with floral hops, caramel and fruits. Ends bitter. BelgianBeerGal (902), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Sep 6, 2008 Poured from 75cl bottle at Alesmith dinner. Wow! ESB can taste this nice? Clear bronze colour with a short, stout off-white head. Very caramelly aroma with a little dark sugar. Very drinkable and a nice flavour of malt and dark fruits. JMFG (1140), Florida, USA Aug 27, 2008 On tap @ Liars Club. Ruddy amber color with a creamy off-white head. Light fruity malt profile, mild English hop background. Nice rich plum-like malts, toasted grain, rich finish. Quality ESB. eli723 (9), San Diego, California, USA does not count Aug 21, 2008 Nothing special about this one. A good example of an ESB though. I’d get it again.
