750 ml. Thanks cmubeerman. mahogany ruby red color with a thin white head. Smells better than it tastes. Wood, vanilla, booze, hops. Brown sugary scotch ale type old ale. A little soy saucy, andrew said he smells toothpaste. oily on the palate. pithy lemon-orange citrus finish, with alcohol and a pervasive musty chocolaty-ness. Much better as it warms, cinnamon roll like sweetness. I like it.

Very special thanks to SoLan for sharing this at our visit to Cigar City Brewing. Pours a dark amber with a full nose of oak, whiskey, toffee and dark fruits. Flavors are the same, dark fruits with whiskey and oak. Fantastic brew.

I had this with JARSPAG a few weeks ago. 2005 bottle, so the strong Bourbon flavor mellowed out. Most consider this a good thing, but I enjoy a nice Bourbon kick. Comparable to a BA Numbskull.

Reddish amber pour with a thin head. Lots of dark fruits, toffee, and barrel notes, oak, vanilla, sweet booze. Nice sweetness in the flavor in a combination of dark fruits, tobacco, and barrel notes. Nice vanilla bourbon flavors and warming notes in the finish. Soft carbonation, smooth heavy mouth feel. Aged wonderfully. Really good.

750 mL Bottle (46/124) generously provided by awaisanen. Aroma presents strongly with fig-laden old hop oils. Chewy, even in the nose, with dense bread pudding malts. Some salt-touched caramels yield to a big of pear essence. Pours a murky, murky mid-brown, with a hint of amber and little head. Flavors start with an intense malt profile and then blossoms with an intense alcohol finish. Seemingly light, even for the style. Cookie-dough-like old ale oldness. Doughy. Raisins. Light carbonation pushes out a sherry-like refined vinous character over the heavily mid fruits. Very refined and mature. Nice balance and a fantastic malt profile, with great melding given by the barrel. Thanks so much Andy!

Courtesy cquiroga, thanks Chris! #12/124. Dark amber brown with just a bit of off white carbonation. This style of beer is perfect for barrel aging- rich toffee, cookie, and aged malt, dried fruits, tobacco, light cocoa and a ton of barrel- vanilla, earthy charred wood, bourbon sweetness. The extra time in the barrel did a lot to cool down the alcohol, there is still a touch but it just helps to dry out the finish a bit. Full body, smooth, rich. Awesome beer.

Bottle shared by YGTBSM94, thank you brad! Pours a dark brown with garnet hues and a tan head. Minerals, maple, bourbon, dark fruit but well overtaken by alcohol. Chewy with a light oak character. Good brew.

btl by BeerHawk. Brown pour with a ruby head. Raisins, dark caramel, and light abv on the nose. Dried fruit, molasses, and the abv lightly again on the flavor. Medium carbonation, mouthfeel is medium to full. Hints of vanilla which may be the oak? Very nice. thanks steve
