| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jan 11, 2008 Slightly cloudy caramel colored pour with a very light head. Nose is sweet dark fruit with some vanilla. Mouthfeel is sticky and a bit thick. Flavor is much like the regular Decadence, but subdued, some vanilla from the BA comes through. legion242 (1578), Richardson, Texas, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jan 11, 2008 Lumpfest 2008- Murky russet- definitely from the barrels. Lacey head. Heavy oak nose. Definitely an improvement with the aging- mellowed well with a tiny hint of tartness. xnoxhatex (1305), Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Jan 10, 2008 Sampled at "An evening with Pantanap #2". 750ml bottle, thanks to Drewbeerme for sharing this 200/280. Dirty red color with nice though small tan head. Red fruit aroma with dark plum, aged notes, nice caramel, balanced oak and bourbon as well. Sweet caramel flavor upfront with age slight alc, cherry, tar, very nice. Hot and medium bodied. NIce and I actually liked this more than the Barrel Aged Old Numbskull. padrefan98 (788), (San Diego) Santee, California, USA

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 7, 2008 750 ml bottle. Murky brown with a decent head. Lots of wood aromas with some caramel and molasses in there. Flavor was similar. Bourbony and Boozy after the first flavors of wood and vanilla. Pretty hot on the alcohol for a finish. Still Very very good. RollinHard (756), Fort Worth, Texas, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jan 6, 2008 I did the same thing xmarcnolanx did to try this beer, only better. After having the regular 05 Decadence it was tough for me to separate the differences between the 2. This one had a woodier flavor and more vinous sherry notes to it, but the finish was this beer was head and shoulders above the other Decadence. Just a ton of good toast, chocolate, vanilla and wood flavors as you swallow the beer and let the aftertaste linger.
