Pours a cloudy, dark, orangey brown with a small, off-white head. Distinct aroma of oak and bourbon. Quite full-bodied, extremely complex, lots of roasted malts, dried fruits - raisins in rum - and again these great bourbon accents. The finish is rather bitter. Very pleasant. 270607 joergen (8539), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 14, 2008 Bottle... This beer rocks!... Murky caramel-colored ale with a short-lived, fat-bubbled, off-white head. Apparently, hyphens rock too! The aroma is meaty and rich with gobs of caramel and a bourbon/wood swirl. Full-bodied and oily with lazy carbonation. Caramel-sweet and woodsy with a big note of vanilla and a lesser notation of coconut. Nice, hoppy, boozy bitterness and moderate acidity. Lengthy, warm, caramel and bourbon finish. Major kudos to pepsican for providing this rare treat!
