Sweetish, vinous aromas. Extremely full-bodied, sweet with tons of malt and honeyish notes. Touches of wood surrounding a base of dried fruit - raisins for sure. Very, very complex and delicate. A grand beer indeed. 120805 and 061006 Emil (6074), Copenhagen, Denmark

Aromas of mild ammontillado sherry, cream, light oak and bourbon vanilla. For me this has some very smooth flavors that mix well. Stewed ripe light fruit mingles with toffee, mild oak, and vanilla. Light burn kicks in 3/4 through and continues down the throat. Smooth, yet somewhat his in feel, likely because of the mild acidity. This one does have a mild maderization, that I think works, but I can see some might not like, but I find it easy to enjoy. joergen (8539), Frederiksberg, Denmark

This beer pours to a hazy brown with a thin white head. The aroma is oak cask barleywine. :) The flavor is casky and good. WOW. I’m baffled on describing it. The palate is quite nice.
I was fortunate enough to try bottle 2002 64/225 as well (on 9/8/05). Thanks Jason!
