Bottle thanks to Pantanap. Pours dark Brown with no head. Aroma was insane. Bourbon, caramel, vanilla, oak, brown sugar and some intense dark fruits. Medium bodied with light carbonation. Starts sweet to a nice hoppy bitterness. Nicely balanced. What a beer!!!! Thank you Alesmith!!!!

Bottle@WSF09. Bourbon, vanilla and coconut aroma. Hazy, brown colour, good lace. Sweet, light bitter, bourbon, coconut and vanilla in the flavour as well. Very smooth. Flavourful, great balance, very complex. Enormous improvement compared to the regular Old Numbskull.

Thanks to rustychiles for sharing this for his #800. Congrats man. Pours a super-murky brown with no head. Aroma of bourbon, oak, oxidation, and heavy caramel malt sweetness. Taste is extremely balanced between the malt sweetness, the tannic qualities of the barrel, the bite of the bourbon, and the age. Definitely the right time to open this.

Rating #800 2004 Bottle courtesy of moejuck. Pours a hazy caramel color with a very small off white head. Aroma is caramel, supple caramel vanilla and oak notes along with dark fruits and bourbon. Flavor is faded hops, caramel, malt, subdued bourbon, vanilla, oak, tannins, maple. Finishes sweet and bitter and extremely smooth. Great BA Barleywine.

Don’t bother putting age on this one. I Ihad one fresh and one two years old. The fresh Numbskull blew it away by far. Also had this one with Jarspag. 3 BA Alesmiths in one night. LOL

Thanks zuluflyboy for the share of this 2006 bottle. Pours dark brown-red with an off-white head. Nose is boozy with vanilla, raisin, caramel, sugar, malt, depth, lots of wood, and bourbon. Flavor is vanilla, caramel/ toffee, raisin, whiskey, booze, bourbon, and very ripe fruit. Tastes stronger than the abv thanks to the aging. Excellent beer.
