Pours brown with little head. Aroma is hard caramel, brown sugar, light alcoholic warmth. Flavor is hard caramel, brown sugar, sweet but not sticky. Reminded my of a 60 year old Balantine burton, just not quite as old. Very rich.

An alchohol-braced sweetness greets the palate on tasting. Masculine but tender, formidable, but understanding. Definitely worth a taste.

The aroma was fruity/citrusy. The appearance was that of a cloudy apple cider. The flavor was apple-ish with hints of malts. The palate started out sweet, but finished bitter. This was a good, almost great beer.

Bottle... A&K’s4thAHBT... Hazy, orange ale with a mid-sized, creamy, off-white head. The aroma delivers chocolate dipped pine cones floating atop a sea of rich toffee. The flavor is a medley of juniper berries, booze and pistacios. Very well balanced. Medium sweet, but also medium bitter from the alcohol and hops. Full-bodied and ultra creamy with lively carbonation. Finishes bitter-sweet, boozy, dry and grassy.

750ml bottle: It looks like this was being sampled at both DC and Copenhagen holiday gatherings, which is pretty crazy. Slightly hazy ruby/amber body, tiny particles visable floating around, with a small beige head. Aroma is sweet fruits, alcohol, sugar. Taste is a little too sweet with notes of raisin, grapes, light carrot, caramel, and some alcohol heat. Medium bodied, watery, and just seems a bit under-attenuated. Unimpressive.

Loads of sweetness in the nose, lots of prunes and some alcohol. Dark amber body with a small tan head. Loads of sweet prunes in the flavor, lots of alcohol heat which becomes too much and makes it hot in the mouth.
