Medicinal grapefruit hops, spicy nutmeg and a bit of alcoholic mango. Hazy, orange brown body with a quick foamy white head. Bit of citrus in the flavour continues alcoholic mango and light generic fruit yeast. Medium-full body. Very interesting blend though a little too much noise. Braudog (3782), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 17, 2007 From the bottle, this poured golden-orange-yellow, quite active yet without any head whatsoever. The aroma is fruity and sweet like those faux grape-juice champagne things. The first sip has a syrupy tinge to it with a warm fruit essence that sticks mightily to the tongue. Buttery, candy-sugared, orchard-fruity and mildly spiced, but easy to drink. (#3098, 9/17/2007) kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

Thankfully, it’s still slightly carbonated, but there’s no head. Pours a very cloudy gold bordering on copper with hints of burnished tan. Aroma is spicy and dessert-like with lots of cookie dough notes and pinches of lemon and orange zest, light coriander. Taste follows suite pretty well, starting with a sweet pang of white chocolate and gingerbread, while some citrus flavors, bitter Christmas spices, and herbal buttery hop flavor follow. The finish is fairly dry, but still flavor with the spices and hop flavors shining through. Still, the finish is a little cloying, but it’s not a problem when the aftertaste is nice and fine. Thick body on this, but it’s too slick for me with the lack of carbonation and all. Slight heat to this, but it’s at a pleasant warming level. I found the flavor to be incredibly enjoyable (love the cookie dough!) and the spices were very well integrated. Better than the Grand Cru. Thanks to Lumpy for exchanging this with me in April. Aroma is slightly sour with coriander, apple, sweet malts, yeast, and alcohol. Flavor starts off with citrus, coriander, apple, sweet malts, and yeast. Finishes with alcohol warming. Somewhat dry on the finish as well. Overall it’s pretty decent but not my favorite from AleSmith. grimreeser (797), Minnesota, USA

Aroma of orange, lemon, coriander, and sugar. Alcohol was barely noticable. Didn’t taste as big as it is. undsioux7 (561), Cologne, Minnesota, USA

Taste of candi sugar, alchohol. A bit too much carbonation for me. Dry finish. bleeng (600), Spring near Beersel, Texas, USA
