Bottle. Pours a beautiful orangey amber color with a huge creamy white head that lingers and leaves great lacing. Aroma is heavenly, a caramel maltiness that's just discernable under the brash and dominant grapefruit and pine hops. Flavor is delicious, sweet and rich initially with an amazingly tart and pleasingly bitter character that rears up and then mellows into a dry, puckery finish. Exceptional IPA, almost bordering on being an Imperial - another fine product from Alesmith. How lucky am I to have them in my hometown?!

Oct 6, 2008 Thanks Hellbilly.Thick white rocky foamy head, murky orange. Smells extremely hoppy, orange zest, spices and I can almost smell the bitterness. The coloration after completely settling is a little on the brown side for an ipa and is almost a light ice tea like color. Tastes very bitter, orange, and really hoppy. The bitterness created by the hops masks the alcohol and lingers for quite some time.

Oct 6, 2008 Bottle. Poured a hazy gold/orange with a three finger whitish head. Aroma of citrus hops, with pine notes as well. Flavor had a well balanced malt taste, supported by citrus and a pine finish. Medium/full body with good carbonation.

Oct 4, 2008 Pours a hazu orange color from the bottle with loads of carbonation and an obnoxious off-white head of creamy foam. Smells mildly of hops which build in the flavor along with notes of citrus and salt. Awfully bitter on the finish, but highly drinkable in the AleSmith tradition.

Sep 29, 2008 Pours a clear dark orange, close to transparent, with a thick frothy head.
Very pungent aroma, a nice balance of piney hops, sweet orange juice, and grass.
Full well balanced hop flavor, citrus (orange and lemon), piny, grassy, with a soft bitterness in the finish.
Palate is full, crisp, and smooth. A very well crafted IPA.
