Aroma is spicy & of Belgian yeast & a touch of citrus. Flavor was dry, tart, sour, & slightly clovey with a citrus touch. Very bright and clean tasting. I believe there was an added spice to this. I generally don’t persue beers with added spices, coffee, etc. rudolf (1774), Buffalo, New York, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 19, 2005 Growler fresh from Alesmith - Strong Belgian yeast and spice aroma. Cloudy yellow brown. The pour at the brewery in a Horny Devil glass had great head and lacing. My gowler pours are a bit flatter, but still good lacing. Flavor is spicy coriander and belgian yeast. After taste gets old, but an easy way to fix that is to take another drink. A nice session Belgian. Kinz (2205), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA

Alesmith dude told me they actually use this as a starter beer for its big brother. Lightly orange, good head. Spicy aroma with belgian yeast character. Flavor was primarily spicy, with a nice coriander note. Struck me as a souped up wit. Good. Should note small sample size. Crosling (1854), Loveland, Colorado, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 4, 2005 On draught @ Alesmith Brewing Company. Light orange. Fresh spicy aroma with hints of coriander, orange peel, sour fruits, butter toffee, wheat and yeast. A strong spice influence in the flavor with coriander and orange peel.....Just a great Belgian style brew. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA

I guess this tastes exactly like what it’s supposed to be, a scaled down Horny Devil. Light bananas and pepper. Poured with a nice off white head and left nice lacing in the glass. Really drinkable.
