12oz. Bottle Stone/Mikkeller/AleSmith Pours a nice golden color, nice carbonation, nice little white head, with minimal sticky lacing. The nose is malty, slight yeast, with some hops, licorice and spice. The taste is malty, yeasty, with some licorice notes, slightly spicey. Medium body. Very drinkable, this is a very different tripel, very tasty. Highly recommended. Thanks Eric.

Draft @ Stone bistro. Was expecting another boring tripel and was blown away by this brew. Aroma of bread and yeast. A lot more hops than I expected mixes nicely with the spice and yeast. Very good!!

12oz brown glass pry-top. No date. Appearance: A hazy orange/amber with a thin, bone-white head that recedes quickly leaving some light spotting. Nose: Lots of pine-y hops right off the bat! Some medium-sweet wheat notes come through and a faint fruitiness. I get a lot of mixed citrus as the hops and the "Belgian" parts meet. Palate: Medium-bodied and clean. There’s the traditional tripel notes here with white peach, earthy/bark notes, and is framed out by a nice hop bitterness and flavors of dried pine, grapefruit and leaves. Notes: This is a seriously good beer! I particularly enjoy how the hops give the beer a frame for the flavors. The keep the tripel from being sweet or overly fruity. Nice work and please brew this one again!

Somewhat impressive sugar malt and pear/banana aroma,if you linger on this ,its really first class. Taste also pretty much right up there, rich slightly sweet malting ,hints of light fruit,a little alcohol ,just the slightest of bitterness in finish, much less then in other tripels , which leads to a real smoothness rather then the spicey bite of others, nothing monsterous, but a really fantastic bottle of beer

Very nice belgian. Lots of spice, corriander, candi malt, apple, pineapple, currants, and cloves, butterscotch, and yeast. Some spiced hop flavor that I didn’t expect in a belgian but appreciated for the imaginative aspect.

[2282-20090616] 12floz bottle. Sweet orange zest hops aroma with mild toasted pie crust and vegetal hay hints. Slightly hazy, medium orange body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Sweet bitter orange citrus hops flavour, very hoppily sweet and lovely. Medium-full body is bitter. Wow, very drinkable.

Tasted at brewery for the RBSG. Clear deep golden with a fizzy white head. Floral, citrus, hops, and fruit aroma. Sweet malty, nectar, passion fruit, hibiscus, and candy taste with good alcoholic warmth.
