It isn’t the best I’ve seen from Alesmith but its good. I look forward to tasting the 2007 vintage this coming February. Saarlander (1589), Rancho Cucamonga, California, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 27, 2006 On tap pours slightly cloudy, deep red with a nice log lasting tan colored head. Aroma is mostly malt with a light hop nose. A nice complex beer with a lot of body and richness could have used a bit more bittering hops for me. 1FastSTi (2591), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 18, 2006 At O’Brien’s. The beer pours to a dark brassy/brown body with a thin off-white head. The aroma is light. Toasty/roasty malts and supposed hops (I surely don’t smell the dry hopping). The flacor is malty, toasted toffee, smooth yet very light hops. Robust malts, tobacco. The palate is a lingering tartness/bitterness in the back of the throat. This is one of the weakest Alesmith products I’ve ever had, or I simply wasn’t in the mood to have it. :(
