danielcurtis81 (879), San Diego, California, USA Dec 17, 2008 Draft. Pours a medium translucent brown. Very very nice malt flavors with chocolate hints. Some nice nutty toned too. Very crisp and smooth mouth. One of the top brown ales! Schultsc (478), Henderson, Nevada, USA Nov 30, 2008 On tap at the brewery. Dark mahogany brown with a very creamy light tan head. Soft hops spice in the aroma with both fruitiness and earthiness and good bitterness from both the hops and toasted malt. The aroma leads directly into the flavor delivering all of the same characteristics onto the palate. The body is full, yet still light and easygoing. Very drinkable with a lot of dimension for this modest style. nbutler11 (729), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Nov 20, 2008 Growler from the brewery. Pours a luxurious amber color with a creamy tan head. Brimming with the aroma and flavor of walnuts and pecans with the shells thrown in for a note of bitterness. Slight caramel and dark cocoa are also present, but this beer is all about it’s name. Well done, as usual. bikesandbeers (468), Los Angeles, California, USA Nov 1, 2008 rated on an iPhone before a USC washington tailgate.
