Commercial Description:
Bottle conditioned.
Speedway Stout is a HUGE Imperial Stout, with pounds and pounds of coffee added during conditioning for a little extra kick! This is a limited-edition Formula and it'll definitely get you racing! It is available in 750 ml. champagne bottles. Appearance: Jet Black, with a toast-brown head. Flavor: Starts with a strong coffee and dark chocolate sensation, then fades to a multitude of toasty, roasty and caramelly flavors. Finishes with a nice fullness but dry enough not to be cloying. Aroma: COFFEE! And some other stuff. And coffee. Mouthfeel (body/texture): Velvety smooth texture. Clean and crisp, full-bodied. Warmth from the high alcohol content lightens up the feel a bit. Still, you won't fool your taste buds -- this beer is HUGE!

Bottle with a silver foil wrap from Vintage Estate in Ohio, pours really black with a tan and chocolate shake bubbled head, I could see dark ruby at the edges of this ale, leaves a slight brown oily film when swirled, there is a good covering of sediment in the bottle, dark roasted coffee bean nutty aroma when first poured, dark roasted malt, chocolate, dark brown and burnt brown sugar fragrances, real faint alcohol in the background (not a bad thing at all), baked brownie aromas, coffee fragrance is more in the background and not as prominent as expected with the note on the label that this brew is made with coffee beans, nuts taper off a bit after pouring, flavor of dark roasted malt, chocolate and some coffee, I sensed a little alcohol warmth on the palate, some tingle in my nostrils when I take a drink, a very nice Impy, mouth feel is more then medium, this Impy layers the tongue and has a decent amount of carbonation, has a nice creamy feel on the palate which I get with all of the AleSmith brews, glad I was able to find and enjoy this brew, I recommend this if you can get it

One of the best. It pours dark black, opaque, with a nice beige head. The flavors are very balanced and refined. Starts with a raosted & toasted malt flavor, surrounded by caramel, chocolate, coffee, and cafe au lait. The finish is sort of acrid and reminds me of a strong turkish espresso. The mouthfeel is perfect, the alcohol lends a complexity as it warms the throat. Just perfect.

My favorite Russian imperial. Very dark, black I would say. Full of chocolate, smoke, and coffee. Plenty of malt. Thick but not syrupy.

Bottle, aged for two years. Oily black pour with a thin light coffee head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee and faint smoke. Fantastic taste of bitter chocolate and coffee Also had notes of roasted almonds. Completes with a nice dry bitter finish with warming alcohol present.

I waited a long time to my lay a hand on this one and finally found in on a trip to So. California. This poured BLACK. Not dark brown but black with no light at all even on the edges and threw up a very fat tan head that lasted a long time. Nose is very powerful and of coffee and chocolate. Very thick mouthfeel. Flavor is rich roasted malts with the chocolate and coffee in abundance. Finish is dry and bitter. Simply amazing stuff. Maybe my best stout ever. I loved this stuff.

Had this is the closet for more then a year. Cracked it after a bow hunt in NW WI. Jet black, choclatley smooth stuff. Lots of flavors going on, but I sure dont get much in the way of coffee in taste or aroma, so thats dissapointing. Very sweet, glad to split this with a few people.

Crushed this one with TheDude. Black pour with a rocky, tan head. Aroma is of strong coffee, dark chcolates. Flavor is exhausting. So many flavors. Lots of coffee and chocolate, roasted delicious malt. Mouthfeel is velvety and chewy. I was tired after drinking this, in a good way, like post-sex.

Another great Honkeybra crush. Dark as John McCain’s campaign, possibly darker, but it’s a tough call. One of the smoothest, velvetiest mouthfeels of all time I have to imagine. Flavor is absolutely exhausting. A single sip is almost too much to absorb. Good luck if you try to crush one yourself, and if you do, I’ll see you in Hell.
