Commercial Description:
Bottle conditioned.
Speedway Stout is a HUGE Imperial Stout, with pounds and pounds of coffee added during conditioning for a little extra kick! This is a limited-edition Formula and it'll definitely get you racing! It is available in 750 ml. champagne bottles. Appearance: Jet Black, with a toast-brown head. Flavor: Starts with a strong coffee and dark chocolate sensation, then fades to a multitude of toasty, roasty and caramelly flavors. Finishes with a nice fullness but dry enough not to be cloying. Aroma: COFFEE! And some other stuff. And coffee. Mouthfeel (body/texture): Velvety smooth texture. Clean and crisp, full-bodied. Warmth from the high alcohol content lightens up the feel a bit. Still, you won't fool your taste buds -- this beer is HUGE!

Bottle courtesy of ogivlado who shared it with me and heavy (huge HUGE thanks!)
Poured a black body with a brown medium sized head that went away extremely slowly. The aroma is fine but a bit weak, oily roasty maltiness, coffee and tasty coffee, light alcohol. Extremely nice coffee notes in the taste, possibly the best I’ve ever had in a beer. Damn drinkable, almost no alcohol noticable. Earthy and, very light hop for a second. Not terribly complex but damn effective and likable. Surprised me. A great beer.

Black body, light brown head that lasts till the end with thick lacing. Toasty roasted notes that remind me of bacon to some degree. The alcohol was masked nicely amongst the complex body. Delicious.

2008 bottle, really nice deep brown color with malty brown mocha head, aroma has lots of good roasty coffee and chocolate, flavor is slightly sour with medium coffee, roasted nuts and caramel chocolate, lasting viscous finish

Nose is heavy with chocolate and coffee, but there is a hint of complexity that should bloom with age. Huge explosion of flavor on the palate without a hint of alcohol. Very viscous with a humongous finish on caramel and toast. One of the most ageworthy beers I’ve tasted. This one will be amazing in five years.

Bottle thanks to StFun. Dark brown, creamy but loose tan head. Lovely hot chocolate aroma, light coffee. Taste is more roasty, green coffee up front, some roasted malt, chocolate, light grassy bitter.

Bottle. Pours a deep black color with a medium head. Flavor is thick and deep, notes of dark chocolates and fresh brewed coffee. Toffee, cognac, alcohol, coco wheats, this beer is insanely deep and welcoming. Full bodied and well done. Top notch.

Over the top delicious. On tap at the Neighborhood in San Diego. Coffee. But for sure the palate is what sets this masterpiece apart.
