Commercial Description:
Bottle conditioned.
Speedway Stout is a HUGE Imperial Stout, with pounds and pounds of coffee added during conditioning for a little extra kick! This is a limited-edition Formula and it'll definitely get you racing! It is available in 750 ml. champagne bottles. Appearance: Jet Black, with a toast-brown head. Flavor: Starts with a strong coffee and dark chocolate sensation, then fades to a multitude of toasty, roasty and caramelly flavors. Finishes with a nice fullness but dry enough not to be cloying. Aroma: COFFEE! And some other stuff. And coffee. Mouthfeel (body/texture): Velvety smooth texture. Clean and crisp, full-bodied. Warmth from the high alcohol content lightens up the feel a bit. Still, you won't fool your taste buds -- this beer is HUGE!

pours a motor oil black with a thick tan head, slow to dissipate. aroma is overtly pungent- strong scent dominated by coffee with hints of chocolate. Flavor is extremely strong, with coffee again taking the forefront but roasted malts coming out as well. Hits strong, but the palate is smooth and balanced. Wondrous brew.

Lakewood, Ohio, Rozi’s Wine House - foil wrapped 750 ml bottle - nice surprise find in a random visit to this Midwestern suburban store. Tar black pour that looks like liquid asphalt with a a sticky mocha colored head that leaves interesting swirls around the glass. Aroma of dark roasted coffee filters through with some earthy hints of topsoil, and licorice. Flavor is luxuriant, with loads of roasted bold coffee, chicory, dark bakers chocolate and licorice - all blended together superbly. Silky, velvety smooth mouthfeel that coats the tongue. Worth all the hype.

Wow was this beer worth waiting for. Tons of burnt everything come through throughout the entire beer. Lots of coffee, obviously, but also lots of roasted malt and burnt unsweetened cocoa. Has a perfect amount of sugars for a higher abv beer in that they are noticeable without being sticky. Just great.

Bottle thanks to 1_2many. Pours dark black with brown head. Aroma is strong coffee and chocolate. Flavor is chocolate covered coffee beans. Huge amounts of malt, tons of coffee and chocolate. For all the extreme amounts of flavors, still very smooth. The high ABV is well hidden.

Bottle. Black with a small durable brown head. Aroma is strictly chocolate and coffee with a pinch of hops that were hard to find. Flavor is very sweet with a small bitterness. Alcohol is well hidden. Very very smooth and probably one of the most flavorful but drinkable stouts I’ve had. Fantastic.

Bottle @ Dutch Ratebeer Session. Aroma has chocolate, coffee and some licorice. Thick, black coloured beer with a medium, beige head. Taste is sweet with a pleasant bitter finish. It has roasted coffee and dark chocolate. Probably some bourbon in it. Really a good mix between sweetness and bitterness.

Bottle @ DTS. Cream and dark chocolate in the aroma. Roasted malt, coffee and dark chocolate in the flavor. Alcohol is well hidden. Earthy hops in the aftertaste. Rather straightforward IS, maybe lacking a bit in complexity, but still a great beer.
