Commercial Description:
Bottle conditioned.
Speedway Stout is a HUGE Imperial Stout, with pounds and pounds of coffee added during conditioning for a little extra kick! This is a limited-edition Formula and it'll definitely get you racing! It is available in 750 ml. champagne bottles. Appearance: Jet Black, with a toast-brown head. Flavor: Starts with a strong coffee and dark chocolate sensation, then fades to a multitude of toasty, roasty and caramelly flavors. Finishes with a nice fullness but dry enough not to be cloying. Aroma: COFFEE! And some other stuff. And coffee. Mouthfeel (body/texture): Velvety smooth texture. Clean and crisp, full-bodied. Warmth from the high alcohol content lightens up the feel a bit. Still, you won't fool your taste buds -- this beer is HUGE!

Pours totally black with a brown head. Very strong coffee and malt aroma. The flavor is very chocolatey and coffeesque with a little malt but not too much. Leaves a smooth taste in your mouth that has you longing for another sip. As it warms the alcohol becomes more pronounced and the malt stands out.Would buy again

Pours like motor oil with a thick brown/ruby head. Loaded with hazelnut, milk cocoa, and coffee. Easily one of my all-time favorite beers -- it’s the best-tasting tranquilizer dart I’ve ever had.

2007 750ml bottle. Pours midnight black with minimal head that fades into a persistent oil slick. Oily lacing like the Exxon Valdez just spilled gallons of crude into the sea. Nose is Belgian chocolate, roasted coffee, plums, burnt malts and alcohol. Flavor is dark chocolate milk, cocoa, espresso and burnt caramel with bitter hops and alcohol in the finish. Super creamy palate coating mouth feel. Huge warming effect. Wow. All other impy stouts will be compared to this heavenly brew from this point forward. It’s the cock of the walk baby.

Black of color with thick, cloudy brown head. An aroma of liqurice, coffee, hops and bitter. A flavor of coffee, liqurice, dark chocolate, alkohol and dry - a very nice beer in balance.

Damn, what an awesome stout. Velvety texture, lots of alcohol, hints of coffee, everything you could want. Inky black, and big flavor. Not as much coffee and chocolate as I hoped for, but still f’n delicious. Lots of dark candy, caramel, and roasted grains in this one. A very nice complexity, that might be overlooked because of the subtle flavors that are almost hidden in the background. Very good on the palate. Outstanding.

From notes: Bottle 04 and 06 Thick and oily pour, jet black with tan head. Aroma of chocolate and coffee. Mouthfeel is awesome, full and rich with more coffee and a little heat in the 06 bottle. Balance is amazing, wish this was available in IL!

75cl bottle. Super dark brown with a fluffy brown head that settles into an oil slick. Potent, alcoholic aroma of cocoa and espresso, with some dark candied fruit and vanilla. The flavor is smooth, alcoholic, and rich. The coffee isn’t a forceful as in the aroma, but it still gives you a good kick. Huge roasted chocolate malts. Full and smooth with light, silky bubbles. The alcohol cleans and dries the finish up nicely, keeping it from being too sticky. This beer is just over the top, but so well done that it works well. Fantastic, but I don’t think I could kill a whole bottle again. (4.1) Draught at The Red. You would never believe that this is so strong. Despite the thick and creamy mouthfeel, the alcohol and sweetness are kept in check by the coffee, roast, and bitterness. Looks amazing with a really dark head that lasts, over a pitch black body. Still probably the best integration of coffee into a big stout that i have tasted. It’s definitely present, but plays a supporting role to the rich malt.

750ml Bottle: I drank the entire bottle by myself along with two other heavy beers last night, so trying to remember things is a little tough. I do remember pouring - thick black. Faint aroma of malts and chocolate. Very smooth taste. I can’t believe it has 12% alcohol. Very good.
