Pours a dark, dark brown, like Kahlua. No head. Aroma is very strong chocolate and coffee and has a nice roasted malt character. Palate is very smooth and very creamy. Maybe the thickest beer I’ve ever had. Taste is more coffee, more chocolate, and more roasted character. chicagodri (1041), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Creamy mouthfeel. Tons of coffee and chocolate in the flavor as well. Great stuff....I need more. ilovedarkbeer (1340), Dallas, Texas, USA

Body is totally opaque with a surprisingly light head that turns from brown tinged to almost white with a bit of brown dashes. Nose is total dark chocolate and fresh roasted coffe. At 12% this beer is scary with how drinkable it is. Amazing soft creamy velvet like mouthfeel. Taste is super warming and it feels like it coats your entire mouth. Unbelieveable! | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 23, 2008 Poured like heavily used motor oil with large, lasting two finger tan head. Aroma was quite powerful, and evident even before the brew was poured. Nose of deep, foreboding roasted malts, powerful espresso, and hint of alcohol, and dark fruit. Huge flavors- this is one big charactered beer. Robust roasted malt, toasty bitter chocolate, and roasted coffee. Mouthfeel has a thick, oily character with some alcohol evident as well. So smooth, so well balanced, and so complex. A liquid poem.
