Thanks to lamas for this 750 mL Champagne Magnum (?2007 vintage) for rating #500. Been cellaring this one for well over 2 years. Poured mahogany with fizzy khaki head with a few splotches of lacing. BIG, sweet malty flavor. Some dark fruit, chocolate, and definitive coffee notes evident as well. Silky texture. Remarkably smooth. Holy fuck, thanks brah!

Dec 17, 2009 Botella. Batch 329. Deep dark brown colour with a beige head laving a good lacing. Sweet deep malty dark fruity chocolate aroma. Good mouthfeel. The flavour is sweet with a deep maltiness, dark fruits, alcohol, chocolate and a very pleasant bitterness.

Dec 15, 2009 Bottled (thanks stoutlover72). Dark ambery brown colour with mediumsized beigeish brown head. Quite big maltyness along with some toffee and alcohol. Quite strong on the chocolate and nuttynesss as well. Flavour is quite much the same in a very fullbodied way. The alcohol is a bit too strong even though this has been kept since I got it in 2006.

Dec 12, 2009 Clear, dark amber with a small, partly lasting head. Neutral-malty aroma with grainy maltiness, a touch of alcohol, and some dried fruit. Neutral flavor with strong maltiness held well in balance, the overall presentation being surprisingly dry for the body. Quite full-bodied with medium carbonation. A big beer, but by no means extreme. Seems a bit overrated here, but it is very tasty.

Dec 8, 2009 Bottle. Rating no. 1700. Dark reddish brown body with a medium beige head. The aroma is chocolate, hops, barley malt, caramel and tons of toffee. The flavour is lots of dark fruit, dried fruit, toffee, chocolate, caramel and vanilla. Very complex but still balanced. Creamy texture. I could sip this for hours. Great beer.

Dec 7, 2009 Really beautiful dark ruby pour. Alcohol well hidden for the most part until the aftertaste and subsequent warming affect. Two finger airy tan head that faded fast. Aroma - boozy warmed dates. Flavor - a hint of the aroma but boozier.

Dec 6, 2009 (Bottle at Pikkulintu) Poured deep dark brown and almost clear with medium sized and white head. Aroma contained malts, treacle and chocolate. Palate was full bodied and quite dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, roastedness, molasses, chocolate, dried plum and bitterness. Aftertaste contained malts and dried plum. Beer showed several features of Scottish ale and still wasn’t one. Still a very good beer.

Dark brown-ruby color, small beige head. Sticky caramelly, toffeish (fudge) aroma. Smooth palate. Caramel, some alcohol (not much as 10%), some harsh malty(?) notes. A bit like dunkel in drugs. Not worth of praise but not bad.

aroma is dark fruits, roasted grains, almost porter like., dark caramel
flavor is very well blended. sweet malty, dark caramel, faint hops, ends malty sweet, well balanced by bitter chocoalty notes.
