Commercial Description:
Our Weizenbock is a pale, golden color, and like a bottom-fermented bock, has a high starting gravity and high alcohol content. The smooth, malty sweetness of a Weizenbock is balanced with clove, honey and fruit-like flavors. A touch of honey is also perceivable in the nose to produce a unique and complex aroma. It has a medium to full body and mouthfeel. The wheat adds a subtle tartness, which makes for quite a quenching and refreshing beer.

2000 bottle sampled at 12/27/03 three floyds gathering-thanks to BBB63 for this sampling!Yeast, alcohol, fruit, and honey all come together to form a color, aroma, and taste that all compliment each other and gives you exactly what you expect from the look of it. sweet/apple/spicy hop aroma. very surupy. this aged very well! alcohol came out as it warmed.

2002 bottle compliments of BBB63. A small sized ivory head with fine-small sized bubbles that mostly diminished. The body was transparent with fast rising carbonation and a orange-copper hue. The nose was lightly hopped and some fruit notes. The flavor was sweet, malty, clove and fruity. The mouthfeel was smooth and this was a medium bodied beer with fair amounts of lacing.

This 2002 bottled brew brought to the Three Floyds Birthday Gathering 12/27/2003 by the BigBadBear63 poured a large sized head of fine to large sized mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a good lace and a carbonated light orange brown colored body. The aroma was very hard to distinguish and had malty floral notes in it if anything. The aroma was very differnet from other brews that I have sampled. The mouthfeel was smooth and slightly tingly. The flavor was smooth nice and filled with mild brown malt notes. I enjoyed its hard to describe flavor. Very nice indeed.

Pale, golden color, translucent(yep, just like the commercial description). Aroma of a Weizen beer, yeasty and somewhat alcoholic. Flavor is pretty neat, honey, yeast, clove, slightly tart. Finish is sweet, like honey. Many Thanks to Herbjones, and JCalabres for this one!

Light orange hue with good fizzy head and very good lacing, lots of tiny bubbles. Inviting aroma of spiced apple pie, sweet white wine, hay fields, lemongrass, leather, honeynut cereal. Taste starts tart and crisp, very lively on the palate. Becomes sweet and spicy midway through and leads to a slightly acidic, vinous, and dry finish. This medium-bodied brew coats the mouth and is lively. The alcohol is totally masked, can't believe it's 8.6%, so lush and smooth. While this beer may not completely fit the style guidelines for a weizenbock, it is a testament to the brewers art. I'm so glad to finally try this beer, it's highly recommended.

Has and orangish bronze look to it with a nice head. Smells much like cranberry juice. The taste is very earthlike yeasty with a nice solid dirt flavored malt backbone to it. Another nice beer from alesmith.
