Commercial Description:
Our Weizenbock is a pale, golden color, and like a bottom-fermented bock, has a high starting gravity and high alcohol content. The smooth, malty sweetness of a Weizenbock is balanced with clove, honey and fruit-like flavors. A touch of honey is also perceivable in the nose to produce a unique and complex aroma. It has a medium to full body and mouthfeel. The wheat adds a subtle tartness, which makes for quite a quenching and refreshing beer.

Super rare treat traded to me by someone I cannot remember. Thanks! Pours a nice red color with a small white head that fades quickly. Smell is honey, fruit, little bit of sour and apple. Light oxidation and smoke in the nose. Taste is fruity, wheat, light smoke and oxidation. Low carbonation makes this smooth. No hint of alcohol anywhere. Nice beer. Would love to have tried this fresh.

750mL Bottle. Aroma comes forth as warm, soft caramels with salt and cracker crust. Aged sherry tones with dust and cork. Nice, but showing age from the get-go. Into the glass a chilled gold with thin rim of white. Nice sunburst appearance, hazy. Across the palate, this beer presents as mature, glowing with a mix of aged woods, cooking caramel, and still well carbonated. This blends in with a clover honey, soft sugars and nice soft warming yeast nips. Alcohol stays real quiet and rich. Dusty. There’s evidence of AleSmith’s high standards and quality brewing, along with some signature mineral qualities that make this enjoyable and knowingly well-done. Smacks on soft pear flesh and almond skins. A bit past its prime, so I’m a bit forgiving, but gracious none the less. Hops are still there in a nip of spiciness, European. Overall, an interesting experience, but nothing to hang onto. The oxidation is eating away at the quality of the sugar and malt structure. Andy, thanks a million for this uber-rarity.

Bottle from Cquiroga. Nice caramel malt aroma. Murky copper with a light head. Medium palate. Light caramel flavor, slight oxidation and some very light alcohol is still noticeable. Has held up farily well for this style.

Big thanks to moejuck and spector for sharing this one! - 750ml bottle pours amber with a short offwhite head. Aromas of clove, yeast, bannana, and apples, vanilla. Flavor is all of those as well. Lots of apple in there but a good amount of clove and spice blended with some bannana and a nice hint of vanilla. This seems to have held up pretty well. Smooth with soft carbonation and very easy to drink. Yum!
