Commercial Description:
Our Weizenbock is a pale, golden color, and like a bottom-fermented bock, has a high starting gravity and high alcohol content. The smooth, malty sweetness of a Weizenbock is balanced with clove, honey and fruit-like flavors. A touch of honey is also perceivable in the nose to produce a unique and complex aroma. It has a medium to full body and mouthfeel. The wheat adds a subtle tartness, which makes for quite a quenching and refreshing beer.

A much awaited for brew. It’s been on it;’s way to me twice, once broken in transit, another one resides in the drains of Utah (I’m sure many of you remember the story). Finally delivered to my house and shared by hezron. Many thanks Nathen. Hazed bronze liquid with a restrained off white head. Full wheat aromas with mild banana, herbs, caramel, cloves and a dry honey presence. A rather calm, but deep pool of aromas. A balance menagerie of flavors. Buttery caramel, with some mild spiced fruit. Tart fruit also come into play with some additional spices. A lasting and flavorful quaff. I really feel sorry about those other two bottles.

Bottle, corked and capped thanks to cquiroga for this bonus! Soft aroma with banana, caramel, some fruity notes blending in with an aged feel...not quite oxidation..but very well blended. Golden amber without much of a head. Nice flavor with warming caramel, buttery and malty dried fruit, chewy with some light clove spice..you can tell it has aged but it is very nice. Fairly lively feeling in the mouth with a creamy body. Mmmmm this is good.

Thanks to hezron for bringing this vintage 1999 beauty! Poured a hazy, deep caramel.. lighter at the edges... short beige head with some yeasties remaining. Aroma was very full, with medium fruits (pears, peaches, and bananas), sweet candy, dough, and caramel... just amazing! Flavor was sweet overall... with bananas and candy, caramel, toffee, bready malt, floral, and tart wheat highlights. Incredibly smooth fruity and bready malts all across the palate.. wheat and mild bitter floral surrounding. Kind of tingly carbonation. Held up exceptionally well!

Semi-hazy and a bright, vibrant copper-orange color, with a head and wrung that are very scaled back. Fried bananas, nectar, applewood, pepper and anise form the main contingency for the aromatic bill, meeting honey crested sourdough near the end of each sniff. Pure liquid love. Banana nodes are expertly executed while pepper, anise and cloves provide a harmonious spice phenol profile. Gummy apple butter and home-cooking sweet rolls. Delicate carbonation looks to the semi-creamy liquid love to stream in and massage the palate. Banana bread with pepper pocks in place of poppyseed. A touch of pils malt gives it a slight curt bite, both true-to-style and gestationally amazing. Lucky day. Sweet rolls and apple butter slide down the sides, rounding out with the spiced banana profile for the finish. Huge thanks to hezron for sharing this beauty!

Thanks Nate for supplying this gem. The beer pours to a caramel colored body with a clean pour on the first pours leading to chunks floating in subsequent pours. The aroma is cloves, honey, nice wheat, lavendar. The flavor is blended wheats, honey, graham crackers, clover, lavendar. Became very complex with extreme age (or was it like that all along?). The palate is a sticky syrupy medium-bodied beer. Still quite good.

Densely clouded orangey amber, good head formation. Sweet caramel and fruit aroma. Initially sweet caramel and orange flavor, followed by a berry tartness and alcohol towards the end. Sticky toffee lingers around but lightly so along with touches of clove spice. Real tastey treat that I found at Stuffed Sandwich last week.
