Commercial Description:
Our Weizenbock is a pale, golden color, and like a bottom-fermented bock, has a high starting gravity and high alcohol content. The smooth, malty sweetness of a Weizenbock is balanced with clove, honey and fruit-like flavors. A touch of honey is also perceivable in the nose to produce a unique and complex aroma. It has a medium to full body and mouthfeel. The wheat adds a subtle tartness, which makes for quite a quenching and refreshing beer.

Wow, what a treat! From a 750 shared by DarkElf - thanks Stephen! This rare gem pours a hazy dark topaz color with a few noticible floaties and a thin off-white head that diminished to a ring of bubbles which then hung around almost endlessly. The aroma is amazing and complex, rich fruity and yeasty smells waft up, I get fresh figs, dried apricots, overripe banana along with hints of spice cake, coriander, mild white pepper, clove, a bit of old oak and must. Flavor is wow too. Very sweet with again lots of fruit and spice. I can identify the taste of honey, sweet ripe oranges, peach and banana, yeasty brown bread notes come through, also lemon zest, light clove and more white pepper, earthy herbs, a hint of alcohol peeking through with a little bitterness and astringency in the finish. The mouthfeel is smooth and full with a tiny bit of prickliness and it leaves a slight coating on the roof of the mouth and tongue. This one has aged very well and as DarkElf notes, it’s a fine sipping beer. Thanks again!

Sampled @ RBSG, courtesy hellomynameis. Cloudy light amber color, broken light white head. Wheat, caramel, subtle alcohol notes, apricot, light phenols. Smooth taste, defined wheat character, butterscotch, pepper, apricots. A hint of oxidation, but held up amazingly. Real fortunate to be able to try this.

750ml Bottle at RBSG shared by HelloMyNameIs; (my favorite style!!!) Man I wish I could have had this fresh! Nose of caramel, sweetness, and some pasty wheat with some oxidation; Murky orange with a small off-white head; flavor a little cardboardy with caramel, vanilla, and some toffee! Fresh it might be way up there!

75 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a lacing white head. Nice woody and malty dense aroma. Mild fruity and dense malty with a light wooden note. Lingering wooden and malty finish. Smooth, delicious and just lovely.

Huge surprise to taste this at RBSG. I didnt even know they bottled it! Pours a light orange color ,with a smallish off white head. Smells of sweet caramel malt, traces of some wheat, and creamy vanilla. Nice aroma. The flavor has some big butterscotch effects going on, mixed with some dark fruit, vanilla, and creamy malts. Real easy drinking and smooth on the palate. Just flows down the throat like a river. Absolutely thrilled I got to try this one.

Bottle sampled at RBSG ’08. It looks like I should be thanking hellomynameis for this...thanks man! This brew pours with a cloudy golden-orange body topped by a medium thick head with some lacing. It’s sweet and malty with a note of toffee and candy sugar...mmmm. medium bodied and smooth.
