Nice hop aroma citrus, pine and floral all blended together. Flavor has initial malt sweetness to it but finishes all hops with a slightly skunky kick. Tastes a little musty. Nice APA just not my style. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 11, 2005 From the bomber this pours a cloudy light yellow/orange, this might have been a bit shaken up, but i don’t know if it’s bottle conditioned or not. Massive citrus hops in the aroma. The sweet malt up front didn’t last long against the hops, quickly overtaken and finishes like a big ol hoppy pale should. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 6, 2005 Nice large head of rather big bubbles. Nice ring lacing as it reduces. Light carbonation. Nice sweet fruity aroma with peaches a bit of citrus and a decent helping of hops. Color is a medium gold. Plenty of hops in the flavor with a hint of roastyness in the background. More citrus and a somewhat dry palate. Pretty well balanced. A bit of fruit pokes through at the finish. A very good pale ale and a great example of the style.
