| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 7, 2009 Pours with light carbonation, a fluffly head that pulled a complete Kaiser Soze’. *POOF*, and it disappeared.
Smells and tastes surprisingly yeasty. It lacks some other flavor, I get too much yeast and not enough other flavors on the front. The beer finishes amazingly, I jut wanted some spice or fruit on the front.
AleSmith is just golden, these guys could brew a beer made primarily of donkey piss and it would still be amazing. WisconsinBeer (533), St Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 3, 2009 Bottle. Pours a sunshine yellow slightly hazy color. Flavor is mild malt, slightly sweet, rides into a dry citrus and pine hoppiness. Very mild and light bodied, this is an easy drinking pale ale that shows moderation without going overboard. Well done, this is a good beer. Tripplebrew (503), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 3, 2009 Pours a clear honey lemon yellow with very thick white head. Aroma is pine mixed with light vanilla notes. Flavor is earthy pine with a sweetness that over rides the bite of hops. It is very smooth. Definite floral notes and pine citrus fruit like mango. Body is creamy with definite fair carbonation. Alasdair (76), New Zealand
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 3, 2009 citrus, pine, passinfruit and honey aroma, but it’s downhill from there. Thin, bitter, and fizzy, Improved as it lost some carbonation, but I don’t think this handled the long trip to NZ very well. Beardface (1036), Eugene, Oregon, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Apr 29, 2009 22 oz bomber from Bier Stein. Pours out a light golden color with a whiff of a head. Nose is mostly citrus fruit with a little grassiness thrown in. The taste hits most of the hop flavors: citrus, pine, a little floral. Mouthfeel is very lively, it’s like it’s sparkling in your mouth. Extremely sessionable and I agree with the guy who said it should be in six packs. I’d buy it all the time if it was! | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 29, 2009 This needs to be in 6’s. Very sessionable. Wish I had more. Blend of citrusy hops with a sweet caramel background. Watery but good. scrizzz (1338), kirkland, Washington, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 29, 2009 Light hazy gold, lemon/lime aroma, light and very aromatic. Dunno about this extra pale business, but still a good pale. Full bodied with a light roast and persistent floral hops.
