FlyingSwine (128), Littleton, Colorado, USA Jun 1, 2008 22 oz bottle. This one wasn’t my cup of tea, but then again I’m not a big fan of highly hopped beers.
Aroma and flavor were dominated by sweet flowery hops. I didn’t pick up any of the complex characteristics that are in the commercial description or other’s reveiws. I liked it better towards the bottom of the bottle, when I got into a bit of the yeast. Palate was dry, and not particularly refreshing.
nqualls (422), Tennessee, USA Oct 3, 2008 Bottle. Poured a clear gold with a two finger white head. Aroma of citrus and pine. Flavor of moderately sweet malt with citrus and pine notes. Light/Medium body with good carbonation. rsamayoa (24), San Salvador, El Salvador Aug 24, 2008 At RateBeerians Tasting. Bottle: A good APA, light bodied but flavorfull. Color is pale.
can8ianben (641), Pasadena, California, USA Aug 22, 2008 Just realized that I have yet to rate this beer. I brought a bottle across the country for dmtroyer and haven’t yet rated it! Anyway, light in color and mouth feel. You could drink a lot of this. Nicely hopped, some weird spice going on - mint is a good description. Subtly sweet, and just the right bitterness. eli723 (10), San Diego, California, USA Aug 21, 2008 Had this at my wedding. A great beer to just drink all night long. Clean, crisp, refreshing, but flavorful enough to keep you interested. Brewsmith (55), Torrance, California, USA Aug 20, 2008 From a 22oz. bottle purchased locally. Aroma is hoppy, citrus and pineapple with a hint of grain. Color is a clear gold with a white rocky head. First is the hop bitterness and some piney flavor followed by the malt, starting bready and biscuits and followed by some toast. Light, clean, dry finish makes me want another sip. Not heavy. A great American Pale Ale.
