scrizzz (1247), kirkland, Washington, USA Sep 21, 2008 Bright pine and orange peel hop aroma, though it’s a bit restrained. I should have had this right away. Soft golden hue and a creamy dense head that proudly rises above the glass. Tasty and fiercely bitter, but plenty astringent too. Raw alcohol in the finish. This was out of refrigeration in the store and I had it a few months after the release so while I know it to be good, I imagine it’s much better when fresh. I guess it’s one of those situations where ’very good’ is a letdown. nbutler11 (729), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Sep 20, 2008 Pours a hazy amber from the bomber with a thick off-white head. Balanced is the word. Equal parts hops, yeast, and alcohol. As far as IPA’s go -- this is probably the best I’ve had thus far. MtStateBeer (74), Hurricane, West Virginia, USA Sep 16, 2008 22 oz. bomber. Pours an orange-amber with a nice frothy white, good lacing. Aroma is very nice, clean hops. I get flowers, grass, pine, and orange/grapefruit. Flavor is a touch of malty sweetness with loads of citrus, pine, and a nice bitter finish. Very clean, dry finish. Great DIPA. MiP (8793), Sønderborg, Denmark Sep 15, 2008 Weak farty aroma. Hazy amber colour. Malty flavour, rough bitterness. Sweet maltiness, but very short. Dry finish. dalekliz (546), San Diego, California, USA Sep 13, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a beautiful fluffy white head that lingers. Huge sweet and bitter citrus hops aroma. Taste is bitter, clean, and refreshing, of hops, citrus, a hint of sweet banana and cloves. Lingering crisp bitterness. Really tasty. yespr (11613), Copenhagen O, Denmark Sep 12, 2008 22 fl oz bottle thanks to Hildigöltur and Ungstrup for allowing us to open this :). Pours almost clear and golden orange with a diminished white head. Spiced and orange fruity to light citrusy aroma. Light breadish and liqourice hops flavoured with a solid bitterness. Dried fruity yet not raisin sweet as the flavour remains rather dry. Dry and lasting bitter into the far finish. Swolf3 (252), Elkton, Maryland, USA Sep 10, 2008 Bottle thanks to Hophead22, Thanks man! Poured a hazy golden color with nice white head. Aroma is citrus, grass, and hops. Flavor was hoppy, citrus, and malts. Finished smooth and very enjoyable! travita (1851), Frisco, Texas, USA Sep 9, 2008 Dark golden in color with a nice large foamy off white head. Clear in look. Smell is fresh grass hops, orange, lemon, and other citrus. Taste is medium to high bitterness, citrus, and grassy notes. Did not even notice the alcohol.
