Naka (524), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 8, 2008 Thank you very much for sharing this Juart. A clear orange color with almost pinkish hues. A frothy 2-finger off-white head. Nose is sweet cotton candy, tons of citrus, and a flowery hop. The flavor has a lot of powerful bitter components, but the citrus and the floral characters shine brighter than the bitterness. Has a medium body and finishes pretty bitter. I would love to have this again. dpjuart (670), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 8, 2008 22 oz. bomber from Vintage Estates. Pours orange with yell hues and white head. Decent lacing. Big hop nose, bubblegum and Hawaiian punch, citrusy lemon and grapefruit. Taste is surprisingly only moderately bitter with a nice caramel balance. Lots of citrus, pine, bubbblegum and grapefruit hop flavor, dry and resiny. Tasty, tasty IIPA. Yum. kosko20 (302), Bemidji, Minnesota, USA Aug 8, 2008 Though this beer had great things about it, I was still hoping for more. The aroma was lovely with hops and lemon. The appearance was perfect of clear golden copper with white head that retains the whole way. Flavor was predominantly hops with hints of malt, yeast and lemon. Palate was great, nice warm mouthfeel, balanced carbonation and slightly bitter aftertaste. Once again, great attributes but was hoping maybe for more complexity. dkachur (2316), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Aug 7, 2008 22 oz. bottle from my Secret Santa. Shared at the 2008 Richmond Summer Gathering in Williamsburg. Orange pour with a medium head. Citrus and pine hop aroma. Big resiny hop taste with citrus and earthy notes. Full bodied. Haslinger (640), Syracuse, New York, USA Aug 6, 2008 Thanks so much to kegbear! 22 ounce bomber. Poured into a snifter. THe pour is pretty heady with dark gold with a nice frothy head. The aroma is a nice grapefruit, citrus tang. Very good smelling. The taste is citrusy with a beautiful lingering malty taste. not nearly as hoppy as I had thought it might be. Definitely would buy and or drink again LooseCannon (914), Norfolk, Virginia, USA Aug 5, 2008 22oz bottle, Thanks to dkachur at Richmond Summer Gathering @ Williamsburg. Pours clear amber in color with white head. Aroma citrus hops, hops, hops and sweet caramel. Taste grapefruit, citrus hops and sweet caramel with bitter finish. SuperDave70 (1157), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA Aug 5, 2008 Pours a hazy dark orange with a huge creamy head that lasts forever. Nice drippy lacing throughout the glass. A touch of sweet caramel malt in the aroma, but that is quickly overshadowed by the intense pine and citrus hoppiness. Just a touch of sweetness in the flavor as well, until the hops and alcohol take hold. Super refreshing on the palate. Intensely hoppy. Fantastic! Beerman6686 (1263), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 4, 2008 Updated: Jul 31, 2009Poured a cloudy orange color with a big off white head. Aroma was just all hops, mainly piney. Flavor was very sweet, with a nice strong biting hop flavor in the finish.
