Commercial Description:
YuleSmith is a quenching, hoppy "double" IPA. Appearance: Clear copper color and a creamy beige head with good retention. Flavor: Starts out with a bite of hops, but a perfect balance of maltiness and a dry finish leave you thirsting for that next sip. Aroma: The aroma starts with a heady citrusy and floral feel, and a slight overtone of vanilla. Mouthfeel (body/texture): Smooth, medium-bodied. Warm mouthfeel from the high alcohol content. Feels lush and full in the mouth.

2008 bomber. Amber gold with towering off-white head and nice lacing. Aroma is hop, grapefuit, floral, alcohol, and slight caramel. I really enjoy the floral! Slightly creamy palate with a bitter and dry finish. Flavor is very hoppy, floral, grapefruit, light caramel, and very light pepper.

Pours out orangish gold color with white head. Taste is nice and hoppy. Citrus and floral notes. Slighlty sweet but still nice bitter finish. A great beer, one of the best of this stlye.

Bomber from South Bay Drug. Amber gold color with a decent off-white head. Lots of resin and floral/grapefruit hop backed by a dose of malty sweetness. Medium body with near creamy carbonation. Flavor is hop - mostly grapefruit over malty sugar. Finish is bitter and dry, but there’s enough backbone to make this a really enjoyable drink. Quenching? Kind of. Refreshing? Yep.

Orange-copper with small head. Spritzy big hoppy beauty with a nice balance of citrus, caramel, pine. Profile reminds me of some nice Green Flash hoppy brews...beautiful West Cost hop monsters.

08 version: I had this beer about 2 weeks ago and still think about it today. I have little rate beer experience, but have tried many beers over the years, this beer is at the top of my list of the best beers that I have ever had. I could have rated it a 5, but I’m leaving some possibility that a 5 exists. The aroma is bittersweet, appearance caramelly, head large and incredible and lasting, lacing unbelievable, palate creamy. If one word could describe this beer, it’s BALANCE.

Pours a hazy pale orange with a fluffy off-white head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is moderately sweet, grapefruit, pine, pineapple, caramel and mango. Flavor is pineapple, grapefruit, caramel and passion fruit. Medium to full body, sticky texture. Nice long bittery good finish.

Hazy copper in coler with thin off-white head. Gorgeous aroma of heavy alcoholic citrus fruit. Taste is sweet with caramel malt and more orange citrus/dark fruit; ends with very refreshing bitterness. Excellent creamy mouthfeel. This is an excellent beer, although a tad too much on the syrupy/sweet side for my personal taste.
