Commercial Description:
YuleSmith is a quenching, hoppy "double" IPA. Appearance: Clear copper color and a creamy beige head with good retention. Flavor: Starts out with a bite of hops, but a perfect balance of maltiness and a dry finish leave you thirsting for that next sip. Aroma: The aroma starts with a heady citrusy and floral feel, and a slight overtone of vanilla. Mouthfeel (body/texture): Smooth, medium-bodied. Warm mouthfeel from the high alcohol content. Feels lush and full in the mouth.

Deilcious beer. Rather sweet, but with the necessary amont of hoppyness to create an unbelieveably balanced package. This beer is highly recommended.

22 oz bottle courtesy of Craig. Pours a golden coppery color with a thick foamy beige head. Aroma is west coast piney with hints of sweet malt and plenty of hops. Taste is piney sweet with butterscotch and floral overtones and a hint of sweet malt. Excellent overall and nearly identical to the Alesmith Yulesmith Winter IPA.

Bright copper amber ale, medium white head. (4- ) Lovely strong hoppy nose. Powerful, sure but this is clean work. Sweet malts do balance this act. Light woody touches and brown malts followed. (7+) Initial cookie dough, aromatic, spice, vanilla. Then fruity short lasting hop touch, citric orange peel follows. Warming ale that is not shy to be bold.

Thanks to footbalm for the bottle. Apricot orange in color with small lacing type head. Smells citrusy like oranges, melons, and apricots. Nice firm body with a smooth mouthful. The flavor was a citus hop explosion that lingers. As this beer warms alcohol is detected, but it’s minimal. Well balanced and lush, this is a wonderful brew.

This is a very good beer that I very much enojoyed. Tons of hops in the beer, almost a hit of earthiness. Yeah a strong malt body to it, not thin at all. I would highly recommend this beer

22 ounce bottle from GrbDg. Pours firey sunset copper with an incredible beige head. Super retention, and lots of resiny lacing. The aroma is dripping of Tropicana, Pine Sol, English toffee. The flavor is retarded. Hops from the tip of my tongue to the bottom of my belly. Strong bitterness with plenty of malt character to keep thinks in balance. Body is on the fuller side. Carbonation seems low due to the richness of the beer. What a beer to drink during the UofM/OSU game.

Bottle: Courtesy of Styles. Aroma is very fruity with pineapple, apricot, a hint of caramel, and citrusy hops. Pours a hazy orange with an off-white yellow tintned head with great lacing. Flavor is very fruity with a strong caramel backbone. Starts with lots of pineapple and apricot up front. Strong fruitiness throughout blends with some moderate citrus hops in the finish. In my opinion the hops just aren’t strong enough to balance all the fruity sweetness. Still very good, but I prefer the Winter version.

22oz bottle. Poured a deeper and slightly cloudy amber color with a larger sized off white head. Aromas of juicy oranges, pine, caramel, citrus, and some melons. Tastes of pine, grapefruit, caramel, melons, and lightly spicy. Nice balance. Light alcohol in the finish.
