Commercial Description:
YuleSmith is a quenching, hoppy "double" IPA. Appearance: Clear copper color and a creamy beige head with good retention. Flavor: Starts out with a bite of hops, but a perfect balance of maltiness and a dry finish leave you thirsting for that next sip. Aroma: The aroma starts with a heady citrusy and floral feel, and a slight overtone of vanilla. Mouthfeel (body/texture): Smooth, medium-bodied. Warm mouthfeel from the high alcohol content. Feels lush and full in the mouth.

22oz - Summer 2006 - thanks clarkVV - Aroma of sweet carmel, floral and citrus hops tingle the nose. Pours hazy orange with nice creamy medium head and great lacing. Flavor is where this brew really shines. The floral hops are the first to bite, then a sweet maltiness coats the tounge before the citrus hops clean up. Palate is tart, creamy and smooth at the same time. I think the winter is my favorite, but this is a very close second. I love these beers!!

This beer is brilliantly clear and pours a full reddish copper color and is topped by a frothy, light tan head. The aroma is full and hoppy with notes of fresh cut herbs, pine, grapefruit, and bergamot. The beer is sweet up front with a hint of cinnamon mixed in with the abundant hop notes. There is also a good maltiness to this beer, which really helps to hold the hops in check and provide some sort of balance. The hops are sharp and biting from finish to end. As the beer leaves my mouth a slow spicy sharp astringency begins to build for a good half minute span. This beer is still just damn good, so well balanced between the aggressive over the top hoppiness and a solid maltiness, which while definitely playing second fiddle, is still present enough to contribute and tame some of the hop notes.

I have had this great beer numerous times, but having Tom put it on tap at O’brien’s cause he knew we were going to be partying there for my birthday last night was great. This brew is pours with a deep copper body topped by a thick head with a good amount of lacing. It’s slightly sweet and malty with a huge kick of citrusy, floral and slightly piney hop notes. What a great beer.

Pours a deep amber color, minimal head. Big hop profile on the aroma, some citrus. The hops hit you right away as you drink this one, and linger for a while. Some sweet notes come through as well. Great flowering bitter finish.

Finally! Cloudy amber body with a sizeable tan head. Aroma of peppery hops with a significant sweetness. Flavor is a hops explosion, with an initial assault of floral and citrus notes followed by a sticky sweetness. It really lingers on the tongue, with a syrupy sweet finish. Nice DIPA.

Bomber poured a clear copper orange with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness, light citrus and pine. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, some vanilla, earthy, orange, a hint of grapefruit and some light pine notes with a lingering moderately bitter finish. Avery tasty and well balanced DIPA.
