May 25, 2009 2009 Bottle - Thanks Snojerk321! - Pours a cloudy orange with a medium white head...aroma is mostly green grapefruit and caramel... flavour is similar, and while there is a terrific malt and bitter hop balance, it never comes close to sweet, rather a rich, piney dry malt concoction that rocks, the alcohol was terrific in this brew...

May 21, 2009 Bottle,poured a orange hazy color with a nice fluffy white head,flavors of citrus and grapefruit and a nice summer beer very drinkable and could be a every day beer.CHEERS!

May 12, 2009 hazy deep amber with a big fluffy cream head.aroma of grapefruit and caramelized bananas. palate is rather sweet and the same as the aroma with a kinda eatrhy finish. It tastes a bit old and the labels mentions "holiday 07" but I can find no best before date. I hope its just an old label and that this beer is not 2 years old... Anyways, its good but not as good as I hoped.

May 8, 2009 0.65 l bottle (as Yule Smith Holiday Ale), thanks oh6gdx! Hazy amber color with
creamy head. Sweetish, warming and hoppy aroma with mangoish and sweaty hops. Bittersweet hoppy, toffeish and slightly nutty flavor with mangoish-fruity hops, warming alcohol and hint of alcohol sharpness. The hop character is not very fresh.

May 7, 2009 It poured light orange, just like a Guido’s tan, witha fingers white head.
Smelled of summer citrus and hops.
Tasted of light hops, balanced malts, and very light citrus.
Mouthfeel was great, nice and crisp, designed perfect for a hot summer day.

Apr 26, 2009 Nice IIPA, but I think it’s suffered in transit to the other side of the world. Sweetish, with very nice toffee malt flavours. Hops are there, but bitterness is not enough to balance the malt. Hop flavour is citrus/pine US hop. Almost sickly, but still very satisfying beer. I loved it, but it didn’t live up to my expectations of mindblowingness. I’ll need to try it again fresh. Other comments here suggest it doesn’t age well.

Apr 25, 2009 2008 bottle. Pours a very hazy, bright golden orange color wih a pillowy, white head that slowly settles leaving rings of lacing around the glass. The aroma shows notes of orange, grapefruit, and piney hops, with a big dose of toffee malts. The flavor follows with the orange and grapefruit hops to go with some pine notes, and balanced out by the big toffee malt backbone. The hops hasve a faded a little, but still show good bitterness all the way through. The mouthfeel is full and creamy, but not overly sticky and finishes with a lingering citrus bitterness and a touch of alcohol. Really nice double ipa. I would definitely like to try this fresh.
