This is the summer ’04 edition. I could smell this as I poured it. A very citrus, pine, floral, hoppy, caramel, aroma. BANG! A copper color with a moderate head. The flavor is absolutely amazing POW!. A very bitter taste mixed in with some sharp orange peels, caramel, pine, lemons, and grapefruit. God the complexity of this IPA is just amazing. And the balance is perfect. Its not just a hop assault on your palate, it has a decent amount of malt to back up those little aggressive hops. BLING!. This is by far one of the best beers I’ve ever had! Many thanks LordGorlock! Kevin (1918), Colorado, USA

Clear orange amber with a humongous, bubbly, off white head. Tons of bubbles rise in a maniacal race to the top of my Duvel tulip. Thick, foamy lace. Some sweet caramel and a light floral tone peek from behind a wall of sweet orange and light pine. Thick, bitter grapefruit and pine flavors are followed with a soothing malt sweetness. Mildly floral flavors late in the game, followed by a somewhat dry, bitter finish. Excellent. pantani (1902), Salinas, California, USA

Aroma is a heavy dose of northerwestern hops, along with caramel. Taste is a nice hop balance along the caramel, alcohol, and a bit of numbness. AmEricanbrew (1900), Wynot, Wyoming, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 9, 2008 Summer 2007. Amber color with a big sudsy head, nice lacing. Big piney hop, mint leaf herbal ground spices aroma. Smooth medium body. Big hoppy yeasty spice flavors here tempered a little by some dusty, bready malts. A huge beer here, i like this one better than the winter Yule. 11127 ucusty (1900), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jun 10, 2008 Updated: Aug 18, 2008Recently had this fresh and updated my rating. The nose was much more citrusy and hoppy fresh, C hops for sure, grapefruit, apricot, sweet resiny hops with a nice sweet malt background. The flavor is really malty, caramel, citrusy, grapefruit peel, earthy, a lite dry alcohol feel. Even fresh the hops in the flavor were very subdued, not juicy at all. More bitter and astringent than I would like. Creamy full mouthfeel with little bitterness and a bit of warmth. Finishes citrusy and earthy.
