Pours a slightly hazy orange/amber with a large foamy white head. Aroma of citrus hops, slight pine resin, caramel and toffee. Medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and a dry alcoholic finish. Flavor is a let down with the hops having faded tremendously. What remains is some grainy bread flavors, alcohol, slight caramel malt and not much else. I need to try this one fresh. jkwalking05 (1501), Arlington, Texas, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Sep 29, 2004 Updated: Dec 6, 2006My first sip told me that this was disgusting hop juice. The second sip said the same thing. After the third and fourth sip the overwhelming alcohol kicked in and I didn’t mind it so much. I was actually able to finish this hop extract and so I won’t destroy it in the ratings, but I don’t know how everyone gives over hopped beers such high ratings. It isn’t good just because it has a shit-load of hops in it!!! 5/3/4/3/11
RERATE: Mellon pour with a thin white film. Aroma is quite unique. Fruity and hoppy with just a touch of alcohol. Flavor is grapefruit, candy and resiny hops. Much better than I remember. MaiBockAddict (1499), Good Beer Bar Deprived, New Jersey, USA

Nice hop malt balance in the flavor. Mixed finish, rich hops. Very well made once again from these guys. Strykzone (1497), Wood River, Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Sep 13, 2009 Summer version. Honey gold in color with a large white head. The final pour included huge amounts of sediment. An aroma that is full of hops. Grapefruit leads but some pine. Toasted bread, too. This is a massive hop bomb to drink. They are tart citrus, pepper spice, and deeply buried caramel with some biscuit. This beer comes right at you with the hops. An excellent beer! redlight (1496), Winter Park, Florida, USA

I got tons of fruit in the aroma, peachs, apricots, some citrus. Pours a rich amber with huge white head. The flavor was so exciting. So much going on for an IPA, a lot of double ipa’s have just one intence hop character but this had so much complexity. I feel lucky to have shared in the bottle!
