Commercial Description:
YuleSmith is a quenching, hoppy "double" IPA. Appearance: Clear copper color and a creamy beige head with good retention. Flavor: Starts out with a bite of hops, but a perfect balance of maltiness and a dry finish leave you thirsting for that next sip. Aroma: The aroma starts with a heady citrusy and floral feel, and a slight overtone of vanilla. Mouthfeel (body/texture): Smooth, medium-bodied. Warm mouthfeel from the high alcohol content. Feels lush and full in the mouth.

Fruity and caramel.Malty and syrupy. If you had your eyes closed and you had this and a 120 IPA put under your nose,it might be hard to tell the difference.Big hops and citrus. But the likeness ends there. This has more complexity and balance then the 120 IPA.The floral hops are offset by a nice sweetness.Great on the tongue.

Thanks to CMUBEERMAN. Bottle. Pours hazy orange gold, off white head. Aroma is caramel, citrus, floral, hops. Flavor is the same with spicing: caraway and rye. Excellent.

Still trying to figure out the YuleSmith summer thing. Christmas in July? Bottle shared by JCB (thanks Jason!). Hazy bright golden orange pour with medium white head. This was all hops! Didn’t find it as malty as the description, but no worries--the hops were fresh and tasty. Lots of citrus and a nice bitter waxy finish. Yum.

Smells amazing like capn crunch berries, citrus, pine, and very excellent west coast hops. Flavor has some of that berry aspect with lots of citrus and lots of pine and spruce-y hop flavor. Gets a very unique vibe, and not the same old same old IIPA.

Bottle thanks to argo0: Slightly hazy amber color with a small tan head. Aroma: hops, lots of hops, grapefruit, grass, pine. Taste: hops, spices, berries, grass, caramel, tea, soap. Finishes with tea-like hops, and dry. Very nice.

Clear deep orance color with a thick, eggnog like head. Great lacing. Huge hay aroma with pine, resin and citrus. Clean, full bodied flavor with grapefruit and pith. Finishes very clean and somewhat dry...pithy aftertaste.

At the tasting session by Joes. A little hazy, red/brown colored beer, with a small beige head. The aroma of hop bittes, fruits like berries and malts. The taste of hop bitter with caramel, dark fruits, some chocolate, a little alcohol. A complex beer. The aftertaste is bitter with a little sweet.

WOOO super piney with strong citrus greeting to my nose. Dense copper hue with a whirlwind of sediment and a thick fluffy head leaving behind a share amount of lacing. Flavor bursts of grapefruit citrus, floral, pine, spices, and some scotch kick from the alcohol. This double IPA should be available all year round but then a new creation for christmas would have to be made. Just a suggestion.
