Bottle shared by JCB (thanks Jason!). Hazy bright golden orange pour with medium white head. This was all hops! Didn’t find it as malty as the description, but no worries--the hops were fresh and tasty. Lots of citrus and a nice bitter waxy finish. Yum. LilKem (1210), Marietta, Ohio, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 22, 2006 Smells amazing like capn crunch berries, citrus, pine, and very excellent west coast hops. Flavor has some of that berry aspect with lots of citrus and lots of pine and spruce-y hop flavor. Gets a very unique vibe, and not the same old same old IIPA. BuckNaked (1204), Tempe, Arizona, USA

A little hazy, red/brown colored beer, with a small beige head. The aroma of hop bittes, fruits like berries and malts. The taste of hop bitter with caramel, dark fruits, some chocolate, a little alcohol. A complex beer. The aftertaste is bitter with a little sweet. SDalkoholic (1195), Chula Vista, California, USA
| 4.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Nov 18, 2004 Updated: Dec 14, 2005WOOO super piney with strong citrus greeting to my nose. Dense copper hue with a whirlwind of sediment and a thick fluffy head leaving behind a share amount of lacing. Flavor bursts of grapefruit citrus, floral, pine, spices, and some scotch kick from the alcohol. This double IPA should be available all year round but then a new creation for christmas would have to be made. Just a suggestion.
