Strong, sweet nose with grapefruit, caramel, oranges, and a hint of pine. Flavor is quite sweet, with biscuity malts, and a grapefruity hop kick that is strong without being insanely bitter. Nice, creamy mouthfeel. edden (927), cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA

The body is red-brown with no lace. There is an X-L amount of hop flavor, which includes pine and grapefruit (citrus). Nicely balanced. Slightly bitter finish. rocbyter (919), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA

Loads of hops attack the tongue. Lots of sweetness from the malts come in next. Mouthfeel is pretty alcoholic but not too sticky like most DIPAS. Delicious treat! can8ianben (904), Pasadena, California, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jul 5, 2009 Oh my. They have created the smoothest, most delicious double IPA that I’ve ever tasted. Aroma of plump juicy grapefruit and subtle pine forest. Appearance is a hazy orange with a thick foamy head that gives you a nice milk mustache when you drink from the glass. Flavor of bright lemon, fresh bread, and toasty caramel at the end. Finish is bitter but not as mouth drying as I expected with that much flavor. What an incredible beer, the ABV is totally hidden, just a hop lovers delight remains. nimbleprop (895), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 22, 2008 Poured a hazy burnt orange color with a HUGE foamy white head that settled with funky hill in the middle of the glass and laced the sides. Powerful smells of pine and grapefruit from far away. Closer to the glass the nose reflects lemons, spice and grass. Fairly heavy and syrupy mouthfeel, with some lasting sweetness easing the lasting bitterness of the hops. Flavor is very well rounded with heavy flavor of orange, lemon, grapefruit and pine but also a distinct malt sweetness of candy, cornbread and biscuit. I think the beauty of this IIPA is in the subtlety of it. Strong aromas and flavors don’t really overpower your palate, instead they combine for a very drinkable but strong brew. elektronikfagtekniker (892), kbh, Denmark
