| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 13, 2006 Pours chilled as a murky dull orange with a nice fluffy sticky white head with great lace. Aroma is a bit dirty and yeasty, but lot sof american hops like cent and cascade- citrus, light pine, and earthy tones. Good bitter ho flavor with orangey citrus, pine, sticky pine sap, yeast, dirty sweet malts, and more dirt and earth. Carbonation was a bit high as well. Perhaps a bit old since this was pbviously made for the summer 06 release and it is now winter, but I wasnt as impressed as I thought I would be. rickgordon (3297), Göteborg, Sweden

Hazy yellow/orange. Fresh, hopflowery nose, with an estery fruitiness(pineapple). Rich hopflavour. Salty, maybe a bit too salty for my liking. Hop monster! BeerandBlues2 (3216), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 16, 2006 Bottle from realale420. Pours mahagony with a patchy and rocky off-white head, edgy. Aroma is huge hops (pine, floral and citrus), caramel nutty lightly roasted malt (biscuit), yeast (sour dough) and a perfume alcohol nose. Heavy bitterness, moderate acidity, malt and yeast flavor is overpowered by the hoppy flowers, citrus bite and pine sweetness. Medium bodied, fizzy and dry palate. blankboy (3204), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 12, 2006 My 1300th rating! Bottle, summer ’06 edition. Pours a hazy copper-orange with a large lasting creamy off-white head. BIG aroma of fresh hops, lots of swet malt, some fruit, yeast and spices -- but mostly those wonderful smelling hops! Flavour’s sweet and hoppy, very well balanced and oh so delicious. Starts kind of sweet and then BAM! -- a tasty hop medley, followed by a big, dry bitter finish. This is sooo easy to drink and there’s no sign of the 8.5% alcohol. Medium to full bodied. Simply fantastic, definitely one of the world’s best IPAs. I’m thrilled to have hit another milestone and to have done it with AleSmith, who are still my favourite brewer. ratman197 (3204), Arvada, Colorado, USA

Aromas of carmel, earthiness, light citrus and pine. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, some vanilla, earthy, orange, a hint of grapefruit and some light pine notes with a lingering moderately bitter finish. Avery tasty and well balanced DIPA. hotstuff (3175), Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 20, 2005 Bottle. Large off-white head that was mostly lasting, good lacing, fine-small sized bubbles, softly carbonated, and an orange brown hue. Aroma was citrusy, sweet, malty, and very hoppy. Taste was malty, sweet and too hoppy for my palate. Medium body. If you are a hophead, go for it! TomDecapolis (3168), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Nov 10, 2006 Pours a translucent golden amber with a medium foamy and lacing off white head. Aroma of orange, some pine and floral hops, caramel, tropical fruits, lots of citrus going on yet a strong malt presence as well. Flavor is a mix of grapefruit, pine, floral, orange and caramel. Starts off hoppy with a great caramel malt to balance...followed by a great hop bitterness. Very well done IIPA.
